Bad Breath - updated

My LO has had really bad breath the last couple of days. I am not sure if I should take her to the doctor or not. I brush her teeth every night and it doesn't seem to help.

Has anyone been through this? Any advice or ideas on what this could be?

Update - We took LO to the pedi this morning because of her breath. I just had a weird feeling about it. The doc thought it was strep so tested her for that. Luckily it came back negative but he did say that it is definitely infected and that is what is causing the bad breath. Hoping this virus goes away quickly.

Ellie has allergies and her breath has been pretty bad lately. We brush twice a day and it really hasn't helped much.

Is she teething? I think excess saliva, plus the fact that she may be sticking her fingers and such in her mouth more often can cause bad breath.

Definitely teething. She has also been pretty congested lately.

I read that if they are congested and breathing through their mouth, it can cause bad breath too.

Whenever K eats veggie burgers, she's got stank breath. It smells like garlic to me. I brush her teeth every night and I notice it is generally gone the next morning.
