Last night was the Daddy-Daughter Dance at the girls' school.  K and DD invited DH and my dad to go as their dates.  So for your viewing pleasure....

  • So cute!

  • They are adorable! Isn't K only 7? She looks older! (In a good way :).)

  • I agree K looks older. And your husband looks YOUNG. Not that that is a bad thing.

And I love your DD's hair. Beautiful.

Love that they invited GPa to go to.
  • Your family is beautiful! Those are lucky little girls to be so loved.

  • Ok, my kids listen to Sophia the First music too much but that just made the son "True Sisters", sung by Cinderella, come to my mind. I really hope that when they grown up the hatred from BM does not affect them and theycan be close. Very cute.

  • Thanks ladies!! Sorry to post and run earlier but I had to work again today.

Yes, K is only 7 but will be 8 in December. Everyone had a great time last night and the girls have been talking nonstop about how much fun they had. They're already planning for next year :)

  • Wow.  The girls look beautiful and so happy!  I'm glad they had a good time with their "dates."

The bolded is my sincerest of hopes.

At the end of this blended family journey I don't care if things between DH, BM and I improve.  I don't care if BM never lets go of her bitterness and hatred.  As long as these 4 kids (DS, DD, K and PJ) come through loving each other and feeling like a family with each other, I'll consider that a victory for them.

I hope that K will recognize that it is BM who harbors bitterness and hatred, and it is BM who played games and tried to manipulate her emotions. I hope that K continues to love and care for BM, but that she does not put up with her nonsense. And I too hope that your 4 kids will remain loving siblings who know they are family and can rely on one another.
