In your opinion, which sex is easier? Which is easier as young children vs. teenagers? And is one sex "cheaper" than the other (in terms of taking them from birth to 18 years)?
Generally speaking, I think little girls *may* be easier in some ways, but I also think they learn to manipulate from a young age. I heard a radio DJ describe girls and boys this way.... "Boys will destroy your house, but girls will destroy your mind."
As far as teenagers, I think girls can be catty and dramatic, and probably no so much with boys.
I'm thinking girls are more expensive too. Not that I have a boy to compare, but I am always shopping for girl clothes even though we have enough to open our own store!
I think it depends on what you do for hobbies, where you live, your lifestyle, etc.
My husband and I are farmers, hunters, work outside, etc. If we have a girl that does not like any of those things, I might be in trouble. I'm nervous about it. Luckily my son seems to be all boy and loves everything about our hobbies. So far....I am aware that could change.
That being said. Between guns, trucks, toys, etc. I can see a boy being more expensive. If I look back at my brother and I....my brother was more expensive. But if I compare my brother to my sister (horses, tack, trailers, shopping addiction, etc.) - she was more expensive.
It depends so much on the type of boy or girl you have.
My sister says boys are so much easier. Little drama, no frilly hair bows or braids, etc. I love my girl though. I wouldn't know what to do with a boy. LOL

I always say boys are easier but thats mainly because I don't have to deal with hair bows and frilly things because that is NOT me at all. Plus with girls you have to deal with make-up and periods and I'm not good with that either...well the make-up thing I mean. But they both can be expensive. Yea girls have more as far as "toiletries" and all but the whole sports thing I agree with. I played travel volleyball all through high school and spent my entire summer at different volleyball camps and it's way expensive! Not to mention the shoes and extras you have to have for sports. DS1 is already into tball and starting basketball next month so we've already bought cleats, baseball socks, baseball pants, now basketball shoes....it all adds up!!
I think girls are tougher when they are teenagers, they are way more emotional and things are a big deal. Boys seem more laid back as teenagers. As far as little kids I think it depends on the kid, family, lifestyle like pp said. My husband thinks his boys were easier at this age than Ashley and my sister has two boys and two girls and she thinks the same thing. Personally I am so glad I have a girl. I am better with girl stuff than boy stuff. I love taking my nieces shopping and doing their hair.
I have two boys and two girls. My boys are 14 and 8 and the girls are 12 and 1year. From my experience I believe that girls will twist your mind LOL. My 12 year old dd is an amazing kid and she helps with LO like a second mother to her but man, when she's having a bad day she sure let's you know it! The claws come out..especially when she's hormonal ugh. My 14 yr old son is awesome. He loves his xbox and techy gadgets and his food of course ( he's 6ft tall ). He's at the stage where the cool stuff counts around his friends but I do feel a little disconnected from him these days he is such an easy kid, he's given the right tools to make the right decisions ( knock on wood) and he makes me side with the boys as being the easier sex IMO.
I'm not sure which sex is easier as I have a boy, but if I look at my friend and her two girls, I would say boys are easier but I don't know from experience. Also everyone tells me that boys are harder to deal with when they are babies and toddlers and girls are easier until they become preteens and teenagers. I would love to have a girl too though. I love all the bows and cute girl clothes.
