My selective memory

I was never a huge fan of the newborn period with DD1.  But oh lord, I must have totally blocked out the 4 month wakeful period.  This has been rough.  This kid does.not.sleep.  I was ok with her only taking cat naps throughout the day, because she was sleeping 6-7 hour stretches at night, then up to eat, then back down for 3 hours more.  But the last few nights she has been awake all.night.long.

We're going to a hayride tomorrow, and I'm going to tell DH to just march me into a display and leave me there, because I totally fit the part of the walking dead right now.

Re: My selective memory

  • Yeah, funny how memory works, isn't it? It's times like these that make me go "Thank goodness it is my last time going through this".

Good luck tomorrow. I hope they have coffee!

  • DS skipped the 4 month wakeful, too. I kept a spreadsheet with his eating and sleep times, so I know it didn't happen.

DD....we're at about 3 weeks of restless nights.

  • If not for that selective memory, the human race would cease to exist! ;)

    LOL true!

Thanks for commiserating, ladies.  The no sleep thing is the worst for me, but I know it won't be much longer until things get better.
