Cinnamon

I want to introduce cinnamon to DD to add flavor to some of her food. Do I need to do the 3-4 day rule for spices too?

    That was my plan, I was going to put it on her squash fries I bake in the oven.

    We have given up on the 3 day rule.  DD eats whatever we are having and I am sure she will sometimes eat new foods 2 days in a row.

    Honestly, I stopped waiting 3 days a while ago. We have no history of food allergies and she hasn't had any trouble with any other foods. She's had cinnamon, paprika and tumeric.

    i didn't even think about it....we bought apple cinnamon puffs and i just gave them to her...and at the apple picking the other day gave her some apple cider donut with cinnamon....
    didn't think twice about how we had to wait with other foods...i've just been feeding her stuff....same thing with the meat purees...

    I've always put cinnamon on her sweet potatoes. never heard of a cinnamon allergy although it might exist.  I don't follow the 3 day thing anymore.

    My DD (2.5yrs) is very sensitive to it. I don't know if I'd say allergic, but her skin turns red wherever it touches. Took me a little while to figure that out, though. She'd eat something and be messy about it, then have red all over her lips, lol. That said, we definitely still give it to her. It doesn't seem to bother her at all. :)
