wandering eyes

My DD is such an observer. She constantly looks around in amazement while awake. This means that she doesn't stay latched on throughtout a whole session because she is too busy trying to turn her head around to look at everything.
It makes for a very frustrating time because I constantly need to turn her bobbing head back to me. I don't know what to do!

Re: wandering eyes

  • I'm right there with you. She gets mad at the cover since she wants to see everything and won't stay latched. It is a bobbing game. Even at home...

  • My daughter did that for awhile. She seemed to cut back on her bobbing around 7 months. I also noticed that if she was really really hungry that she didn't do it.

  • Can you use a blanket/cover? Kind of like a horse blinder. Works for my 6 week old!

  • I have to use a cover, like PP suggested, and taking her away from the "action" of whatever's going on helps too.
