Circumcision

So my due date was nov 22 but my son decided to come 7 weeks early on oct 2! He has been in the nicu for almost two weeks now and they did his circumcision today. When I changed his diaper the first tone there was maybe a dime size amount of blood well the second time it looked like a blood clot came out of the end of the penis. Doc said it was fine but I'm afraid he will bleed too much. What do you all know about his? Thanks!

    Well if the doctor said it was fine then I wouldn't worry about. It's normal for it to bleed and be swollen for a couple days. It took a week total for LO's to look okay.

    This. The Dr would know, especially if something was wrong. I was afraid to change DS's diaper because it looked bad. But after a week it did look a whole lot better.

    DS had three spots one day and then twice he had a little blood come out the tip. I called the pediatricians office and mentioned it at the next visit. Both told me it was normal.

    Trust your dr or get a 2nd opinion from another dr, not the internet.
