I will be 8 weeks Wednesday, and thinking about telling the world. Anyone else announce to the world at 8 weeks?

We shared with family/close friends early on and now at almost 8 weeks we are sharing more freely. Felt soo encouraged and excited after first doctors appointment and ultrasound this past week.

I am going to tell close family at 12 weeks and everyone else can figure it out for themselves when they see a bump!

me too! We told my parents at 5 weeks and DH's parents at 6 weeks. I'm hoping to wait until 13 weeks to tell the rest of our family (and the world), but I have a feeling I am going to have "STM showing early sydrome"

With DD, we were open with it around 12 weeks, but didn't do a FB announcement until 16 weeks.

I'll be 8 wks tomorrow and we will have an US on Wed. If the US goes well, we plan on telling our parents and siblings, the rest of the world will know after we make it out of the first tri. Good luck with how you tell them!

Have you had an ultrasound where you saw the heartbeat and everything measured correctly? I wouldn't tell the whole world yet until you get that confirmation that things are on track.

I will wait until 13 weeks as I need the results from the genetic testing. If you don't have any issues I would suggest you announce it to your family.
