Gripe water

Anyone else using? Just gave Calvin it for the first time and he let out a giant belch. Coincidence? He is now snoozing. Good experiences with it?

    I just tried it the other night with DS and he spit some of it up. I didn't notice that it helped....but maybe I should try it again before forming an opinion.

    My pediatrician told me it works by consolidating the bubbles in their stomachs. We're on the fence as to whether it helps with gas, but it does seem to immediately relieve hiccups.

    We've used it twice. DS has spit up a lot lately and is extra fussy. It helped calm him down a bit but I'm not sure how much was the gripe water or if the timing was a coincidence.

    We tried it twice so far and it didn't seem to do anything at all. We'll probably give it a few more tries, but I'm not super optimistic.

    Sometimes it works great, sometimes it doesn't. However, when it works, I don't think it is a coincidence. :-) I will keep using it!

    I bought it today to use for hiccups, bc our LO gets them at least twice a day. It did stop them right away, with far less than the recommended dosage. She didn't really look like she liked the flavor, so we will keep gas drops on hand as well for those needs.

    It seems to work for us- especially with the hiccups. And surprisingly enough, DS loves the taste of the stuff. That in itself helps him calm down.
