So I had to travel M-F this week for my job, and since the trip was in Vegas DH decided to come. IMO it's not a place for kids, so my parents watched DS while we were gone for a total of 4 nights (they were super excited and have been practically raising my 2yo nephew, so they are my best and only option). I was of course super nervous and my parents aren't great at following my instructions, so I had no idea how it would go. Well the first night he didn't sleep well and was a bit cranky the next day. I let them know he was teething, so to give ibuprofen if needed. He STTN the next night, but then apparently from that point on didn't want to nap, barely slept at night, and was cranky, which is the complete opposite description of my baby normally. I talked to my parents Thursday and asked if they were just feeding him the food I sent, and my dad said yes, but then said well, except... They fed him French fries, hot dogs, pulled pork, pancakes, and ice cream!! All stuff he's never had. Poor baby's belly was probably feeling awful. Even though I told them that was probably the problem, he still had more French fries etc. the next day. So, my parents told me on Friday that they don't think they can watch him for a while, which is fine, but it's so frustrating that they didn't follow my instructions at all! To top it off, my super dramatic stepmom posted all over Facebook how bad he was to deal with and how he wouldn't sleep, even though anyone who has met DS knows he is normally the happiest baby! So thankful we got home last night and he sttn and did his normal 3 naps today. Sorry this got long, I just can't believe this week!

Re: Grandparents Vent (long)
Also, I hate when people post family business on Facebook. Not cool.

I think you all are over-reacting about the food causing her DS to have tummy issues. That stuff isn't that bad, my kid has had all of it with no reaction at all.
He probably had sleep issues becauseyou were away, its inevitable. It's also inevitable that grandparents won't follow your directions when it comes to babysitting. But if he came out of it alive and healthy, I'd call it a win. but this isn't my first baby lol
