Refusing Solids

A has been refusing to eat solids this week.  I know technically it doesn't matter because he should be getting all of his needs from the BM but I am concerned. Why would he go from loving solid foods, to rejecting everything (fruits and vegs)?  Could it be teething? He's 6 months for those on mobile.

    Food before one is just for fun. :)

    Could be teething, could be getting sick, could be learning to assert control. Could be having a slow week before a growth spurt. You just never know.

    I wouldn't worry. I know it's hard.

    How long has he been on solids? Does he eat purees or finger/table foods? 

    M started refusing purees and the spoon when he was 6.5 months, so we switched over to self-feeding, BLW-style.  M also eats very little when he is teething or sick.

    Failed multiple cycles of Clomid+TI and Clomid+IUI

    3/2011 inj+IUI #1 BFP. 4/2011 missed m/c. 

    Fall 2011 inj+IUI #2&3 BFN

    Jan/Feb 2012 IVF#1 BFP 2/23  EDD 10/31/2012 ~~~ Halloween ~~~

    Our IVF miracle, Baby Boy M, arrived on 11/8/2012!

    My first thought was teething too. It happens though. Even at two and a half, DS goes through days where he just won't really eat a lot at all.

    Well today he is still refusing solids (purees) and everytime I BF him he poops. It's yellow seedy and loose...and really smelly.

    I would give it until Monday and then call the pedi (mostly for reassurance)... Probably teething or a cold coming, but after a few days you'll probably have a better idea. Good luck!
