Sorry just woke up. Ladies please keep in mind, I am not on bedrest anymore so if it gets late and I haven't done the check please feel free to post one :-) I know how most of us look forward to the check in.
I slept ok once I finally slept :-( I am having such a hard time getting comfortable.I have a gut feeling even after they remove my cerclage I won't go into labor right away :-( I am getting so desperate.
Qotd: I of course crave ice and eat them like grapes but my weirdest craving was Chapstick. I was applying Chapstick a few days ago and my mouth watered and I wanted to eat it. I had to call DH to take it away because I was already rolling it all the way up to take a bite. Lol
Met with the pediatrician yesterday and loved her, so at least thats all set up now. I was quite sore afterwards though from being upright for a while and having to walk from the garage to the office and such.
No weird cravings, I just want everything pumpkin flavored, but thats normal for me this time of year. Im pretty sure my breast milk is going to taste like a pumpkin latte when the time comes!

I've been thinking its about time I find a dr for LO. How do I go about doing that? Do I just call a drs office I am interested and set up a consult? What questions do I ask?
Morning ladies! @sftbal- glad you found a pedi! That's so important to do before baby is born. @kneenah- do you have a local moms page on FB you are a part of or can join? I would ask for references there or even ask your OB or GP. If you live close to the hospital you are delivering at you can find out who the maternity visiting pedi is there and meet with them.
I slept well last night, just a few bathroom breaks! Had my jumping beans again this AM and some seriously painful lightning crotch! It feels like baby A is trying to break free of my uterus! Last night was hell on wheels at my house. DH had work so my two BFFs came over, one has a 5yo and 3w old. Well her 5yo and DS play great together...and our neighbor from across the street who is 6yo was also here....well I ended up having to feed our neighbor kid, and entertain her from 4-7:30! Her mom knows I am on bed rest, I can't be walking her kid back and forth 3 times to find out if she can eat pizza, to see if she can play inside and then take her home! I was pissed and exhausted by the end of the night!
No weird cravings for me anymore. In the beginning I craved pickles...ironically enough.
How did everyone sleep? I slept great! 8 full hours.
Milestone, update? 26w5d, 9 days until I beat my last pregnancy's record. Feeling hopeful!
Qotd: Any weird cravings?
I was craving pumpkin lattes too! I normally do this time of year but it was kind of all consuming-hard to shake the craving. My husband is amazing and bought a 50 pack of decaf k-cups and creamer. I have already drank through those and have another order on the way. Nothing weird though...yet.
Slepted ok last night. Woke up around 430 and felt constipated/ gas pains. Sorry tmi, I ended up eating and taking a stool softener. After eating I was able to go, I know the pill wasnt working by that time. I did feel a little better after and fell asleep at 6ish. I still feel slightly constipated, i must be backed up or something lol. I will def take another with dinner tonight. I do feel like when I have to go I have a few more contractions than normal. Hopefully they are not doing anything to the cervix...
We had a nice visit with my brother, sil and kids last night. It was nice to have company. Definitely laughed a lot, which I needed.
I don't think I have any weird cravings. I have created sweets a lot, But that's normal not while pregnant. So who knows.
BFP #1 (7/13/12) MC (8/14) 9 weeks. D & C 8/17. BFP #2 (5/18/13) due 1/26/14. Grow baby grow! Its a surprise! Team green!
@Kneenah-I also think going with a reference for a ped is the way to go. I asked about vaccine stance, working hours, nurses line. Good luck! sftbalbabe-Great that you found a ped, one less thing, right?! @SMS-Hope you are able to recover from yesterday, and I hope your crotch has quieted down ;-) @JandM-Under two weeks, you can do it!
26 weeks today!! Now onto 28! I feel a huge sense of relief, but know 28 is much more optimal. Fingers and legs crossed ;-) DH came this morning with DSs and brightened my day. My 2 year old said his first swear,"Oh shit!" Not proud, but it was pretty funny ;-) Probably reflects poorly on me that my 5 year old also said his first swear at 2......
QOTD: As soon as anyone spends any amount of time discussing a specific food or drink, I start craving it! So naturally, I want a pumpkin latte right now ;-)
Happy Saturday! I slept really well all snuggled up with the cat and SO though I don't sleep for more than two hours at a time. Nothing new here thinking of going to my moms for a bit. I'm craving peanut butter!
I know I'm off bedrest since yesterday, but is it ok to stay with you ladies for a while longer?
Well quick check-in, I slept like crap because of DH. I was ready to throat punch that idiot. I mean come on not letting me sleep or going to bed until 3:30ish am and then his shitty alarm going of at god damn 7:00am to meet for a Disc Golf thing..dude are you for real?! gaaahh Plus I had the worst acid reflux all the time being.
Kneenah- We got a reference from a friend in the area with a baby. The most important things for me were to know someone who goes there and loves them and that it was close by, and this pedi fit the bill perfectly. Most pedis will conduct prenatal visits with you to explain their practice and point of views and let you ask questions. At our prenatal appt yesterday, the pedi talked for about half an hour straight and we didn't even have any questions left at the end because she was so thorough. I think its important to have one in place before birth of possible, because they come to the hospital to check on the baby within 24 hrs of birth, as long as they are affiliated with the hospital in some way. For mine, she also said our first checkup at her office will be just a day or two after leaving the hospital.
Morgan-exactly, one less thing to worry about! Congrats on 26!
BTW, I have inside info that Sarah from Alaska had her twins via c section the other night, and at that point, the babies were doing well and not in the nicu! She posted a quick note on the other board we r on together. Im sure she'll check in here when she gets a free moment!
I slept really good last night. We had a lot of visitors yesterday which was so nice. I felt normal again and was able to sit out on the couch and visit for a while. I was exhausted so I think that helped. I have had such a sweet tooth this pg. One of my friends just brought over a strawberry cake with lemon frosting... It is amazing!
High risk momma: Diagnosed with a partially abrupted placenta at 32 weeks and sentenced to strict bed rest for the remainder.

@Kneenah- I agree about asking people you know about a good pedi for LO. You could also ask your OB for a referral. I know when DD was born, they required that I had a pedi picked out and an initial visit scheduled before they would release her. Don't know if it's like that everywhere, but start asking around!
@sms- How rude of that girls mother! And I feel like LO is trying to bust out of my uterus, as well. I can't imagine having 2 in there! I don't remember it being painful with DD but this time, it takes my breath away when LO pushes out on my sides. Ouch!
@JandM- Wow, 9 days! That is great news. I'm sure you will beat your record by a long shot. Fingers crossed!
@morgan- My 2 year old has said a bad word or two. Definitely not my proudest moment.
@justMaike- please do stick around. I could have punched DH in the throat last night, too. DD was gone staying the night at MIL and I was super excited to sleep in, no interruptions, and he sets the alarm for 5am so he can go hunting. Really?!?!?!?!
@lindsleek- I'll take a slice of that cake, please. It sounds amazing!
I agree with @sms, I am jealous of all you ladies off bedrest. But you all 'put in your time' and deserve it. A question for all of you, when are your doctor's taking you off bedrest? I am continuing my P17 injections until week 36 and Procardia until 37 weeks. I assumed I would have to be laid up until at least 36 but if I can be off at 34/35 weeks, I would be ecstatic. Of course, I want what's best for LO but if I can be off safely a little earlier, that would be great.
Qotd: I wouldn't say I have any 'strange' cravings. But I've enjoyed orange juice every morning since about halfway through. I also had a thing for grapefruit but since I started the Procardia, I can't have it. Past week, I've been eating green olives right out of the jar. Yum.

I got off house arrest at 34wks. I was expecting 36 but nope. My last 17p is next wk thank god because my butt check is always itchy..lol.. I cant take those injections anymore
hjweber- i get off bedrest and stop procardia at 36 weeks. Less than 2 weeks now! Although I have to admit I'm not quite as strict about it now as I was early on. I actually did a load of wash a few day ago, but I made DH carry it up and down the stairs. Yesterday I cheated after the pedi appt and grabbed something in a store real quick- it was right by the checkout at the front of the store, and I was only in there for like 5 minutes max, but I'll tell you, the combo of that and the pedi appt didn't agree with my body, my pelvis, uterus and back were all hurting for an hour or two afterwards. So I feel like even after I'm off bedrest, I probably won't be able to do too much. But I'm scheduling a hair appt for the day after bedrest ends, for sure! Then a pedicure the next day, lol.
I am off in a week!!! But seriously I am too large and in charge to enjoy any activity anyway. At 36w we are cleared to get busy...I am actually considering it because I want to be unpregnant! I stop procardia and 17p at 36w. For those who already stopped, do you wean off procardia or go cold turkey?
