My MIL thought it would be a good idea to add solids (not cereal, but carrots) to LO's bottle. Of course it wouldn't come out of the nipple, so she proceeded to do this

Which in turn prompted the following internal reaction from me

Sounds like my stupid MIL. When DD1 was about 4 months old she gave her quaker oatmeal. Maple brown sugar to be exact.

OMG...I would be so ticked. We had my MIL watching DD1 as an infant and there was no end to the crazy crap she did...for that reason alone, I gave up on the whole saving money and having my kids cared for by family and enrolled her in a daycare...I could not take it anymore.

She did mix it with either BM or formula, but I didn't ask which. If I knew that she wasted precious BM on top of her other stupidity, I would've really lost it.

H said to her "Ma, WHY would you do that?!?" And she said she didn't know. H then told her not to act on any of her "ideas" without calling us first. Thank God he addressed it, because I wouldn't have been able to be nice to her with my response. Flipping idiot.

Her & my MIL should get together. Between the poop story I mentioned earlier this week, her trying to feed my newly 2 year old chicken with bones, and her not washing her hands after she held raw hamburger meat, the 2 of them could have a blast.
