sooooo...while our little guys regular teacher was out of the room, the woman covering for her gave our little one the wrong bottle. he ended up with 4 ounces of formula. he is breastfed.
My baby isn't in daycare so maybe I'm not the right person to respond to this. But, I feel like mistakes happen and I would probably let it go. He got fed and there was no harm done.

LO has daycare a couple of times a week, and I feel exactly the same. As long as there isnt a history of mix ups, and they obviously arent concealing it from you, I think I would give this one a pass.
I was an honest mistake... At the same time, I EBF and I would be really upset, too. You said there have been food mix ups before? What kind? Honestly, I wouldn't go off on them... That's sort of pointless and they obviously didn't mean to do it. But if something similar has happened before, you need to decide if you're still comfortable taking him there. I say either forgive and forget, or take him out and send him somewhere else, depending on your comfort level... But I wouldn't keep sending him there while stewing about it because that doesn't do anyone any good.

As an ex daycare teacher I'm very sorry this happened. It's frustrating especially when you work so hard to pump and ebf your child. But this sort of thing does happen. I would talk to the director, but my guess is the teacher has already been reprimanded and hopefully all the teachers have had to review the feeding policies/system. Once again so sorry this happened and you have every right to be angry.
I would be super upset! I would def talk to the director and ensure it doesn't happen again. If there are recurring problems I would look I to other daycares sorry that happened.
Yikes, I'm so sorry! I'd definitely be pissed. I would talk to the director and ask about their policies to be sure this doesn't happen again. Everyone makes a mistake here and there, but if there is a pattern of mistakes/mix ups I would definitely look for other care.
It would really annoy me. I would do what everyone else has already said. If you suspect that they will not get any better.. maybe put a sticker on the nipple part just in case so they catch which bottle they are feeding to whom?
Sorry this happen! It was a mistake but I'd be upset especially since he is strictly on breast milk. I would say something since this happened before. They need to be more careful because you don't want to breast milk mix up next time.
At the center I work at it is automatic dismissal if this happens. We are made to put labels on every child's bottle with first and last names, the date and whether it's b.milk or formula. The teacher is supposed to check the name with the face of the child at every bottle time so mistakes like this don't happen. As a parent, I would be irritated and want to know what's being done so it doesn't happen again, but at least it was formula. I would be pissed if my child was given someone else's breast milk. Ew!

Re: daycare food mix-up situation
I would be upset...
Maybe talk to the director about what procedures are in place to prevent it from happening again.
