Jumper ?

What type of jumper are you guys talking about when everyone says their LO loves them? I bought the hang from the door kind for LO and she sits there like this for 2 minutes and then cries to get out. I've tried showing her how to jump and she loves when I make it bounce but she won't do the work herself.

Any suggestions before I return it or did I buy the wrong thing?

Re: Jumper ?

  • I am sorry, but I am laughing at her expression like "Please someone get me out of this thing..."

I use the Einstein jumper. Though MIL has a old jumperoo.. like maybe 5 years old. SIL's daughter who is like 6 sits in it so the springs are realllllly springy lol. He loved that. The Einstein jumper's springs are really tight, that would be my only complaint. Maybe I need a young kid to sit in it.

  • OMG please tell me you have seen the internet picture of the baby in a pink bunny suit dejectedly hanging out of a swing. That is totally what I thought of when I saw this!

My LO has this type of jumper and a free standing jumperoo. If she likes toys she might like the jumperoo more because she can play with the toys until she figures out how to jump on her own. It took my LO a week or so to figure it out. Now he is a jumping fool. I think the jumperoos tend to be more expensive.

I know! And she has the same expression every time we tried it. Just rests her chin on the edge and waits.

I have not seen that but now I wanna find it.

We have this and she plays forever in it but never jumps- it does have a little spring, is it a jumper too? I'm so confused.

If it has springs attached to the seat it is a jumper I think? lol

  • haha little one's face is priceless! Don't return it yet. It may grow on her. I bought a used one and thought she would love it, as she tried it out at a friend's house, and when I first bought it she wasn't impressed.... but now she loves it. She spins, kicks, swings. But... then again all babies are different. Good luck!

  • I have one too, but my LO is sill too small for it. She doesn't weigh enough, so she just hangs there. It is kinda funny. But so far it stays in the closet.
  • Awww too cute!  We have the Rainforest Jumperoo (the newer one, I think there are two?)  and she LOVES it.  She is a bouncing fool haha... It has toys on it and lights and sound so I think she likes that too.  Then again, I might just have a bouncy kid...

    As tondraluv would say...DEAD.

Ok I am dying over here, I hadn't seen the bunny picture, lol.... I agree with PP, it totally might grow on her! We have the Einstein jumper and just until recently she started really loving it and jumping,

  • Haha that picture is amazing. We have the fisher price rainforest jumperoo, it's a stationary jumper with springs and toys around it. Both my kids have loved it.

We have this one too. Money well spent and it's really the only thing that can keep him contained and entertained when I've got something I have to get done.
  • We have the stand alone rainforest and a doorway one that is similar. Ashley likes the rainforest but only small amounts of time. And not really happy in the door way one. If I attach toys that helps. I think the stand alone has toys more to look at and is easier to jump in. The doorway isn't as stable. When she gets better at jumping and more steady I think she will like the doorway better.

  • Oh and the bunny picture too CUTE!
