Happy Friday ladies!!!

Congrats to everyone that has made it to this check-in! A big congrats to those that are graduating to 2nd tri!!! If there are any other newcomers that would like to be added to the list, post below and include your EDD, and how many beans you have. (I will add you to next week's list). Check-ins are on Fridays and feel free to post your updates here up until the 14th week. (((HUGS))) To those that need them.

QOTW: Do you know whether you will be team green or not? If not, whats the reason you want to find out the gender? Any guesses or secret hoping for one gender over the other? For the ladies that already know how and when did you find out? Are you waiting til the A/S to be confirmed or are you pretty sure they were correct?

  • Hi Ladies! Nothing new to report. I have my second OB appt on Monday and I am very impatient for Monday to come since its been a month since my last one!

QOTD. I will definitely be finding out the gender. I am too curious and a bit of a control freak to wait and I want to purchase and plan accordingly. I will get the basics in neutral though in case we are blessed at some point with another (a girl can dream right!).
I have no preference on the sex- I am just praying for a healthy baby but I think DH is rooting for a boy :)

Thanks for taking over the check in! I can't believe I am getting near the top!!

  • Hi ladies! Nothing new here except the nausea has gotten out of control lol I can't sleep on my left side or on my tummy or I get so nauseous so sleep has been difficult.

QOTW: I really want to be team green but DH is going to explode if we don't find out. Lol I'm guessing it's a girl because I was nauseous since 4 weeks and old wives tales say extra nausea might mean a girl. It'll be fun to see if my grandma is right!
  • Hi ladies! I had my 7w ultrasound yesterday and baby is looking great.  Heart rate was 146 and we are right on track with measurements.  I have 1 more appointment with my RE in 2 weeks and then I will be released to my OB's office for full care.  I did have a bleeding scare again on Monday (couldn't find any reason why).  If we have at least 1 more my RE will have me see an high risk instead of normal OB.  The morning sickness (more like all day) is out of control.  So far I haven't been able to find anything that works well.

QOTW: If it was up to me I would be team green.  DH is not on board and "must" know so we will find out.  At this point I really don't have a feeling either way...it will be interesting to see if I get a gut feeling as the pregnancy progresses.

I'd like to be added please!

My EDD is June 26th and I'm not sure if I have one or two pumpkins yet, we'll find out the 1st. But I have a feeling it's one :)

I HAVE to find out the sex. I just have to! I was "Team Green" back when we first started TTC for all the reasons anyone would want to be. But since going through this I feel bonded with the little one already and need to know who they are, if that makes sense. I'm very big on visualization (it kept me sane during IVF lol!) and I want to be able to visualize my little girl or boy as they're in my tummy. We even have some names in mind so when we do find out the sex we'll probably choose one early too.

I do plan on having a reveal get-together with our family so that we'll still get the surprise all together though!

ETA: You already added me! :) You're awesome, thanks @Mwhigham22 :)

  • Hi ladies! Nothing new here except the nausea has gotten out of control lol I can't sleep on my left side or on my tummy or I get so nauseous so sleep has been difficult. Sorry you're so nauseated! Boo! :( it's for a good cause, but still stinks being sicky.

I hadn't heard that old wives tale! That's interesting. I have been feeling little bouts of nausea and I'm still very early. I'll be interesting to see if it's true!

  • Hi ladies! Sounds like everyone is doing well :)

@Mwhigham22 I am right there with you on the nausea! Mine has been all day long the past few days, thank goodness food seems to help and I haven't really had any aversions yet! :::knocks wood:::

After the discovery of a SCH on Monday, things have gone ok. Bleeding has stopped and I am doing ok with the bed rest. I cannot wait for my u/s on Tuesday and to hopefully get to go back to my normal routine! DH would absolutely love that too, lol!

@twistandturnsto2 so happy the bleeding stopped!

    @letsgobowlingx yay for graduating!!!

@bhead1 praying you get no more scares!

@monimu13 glad your feeling better! I can't wait for that lol

@Phillyj33 doesn't it suck that we went from being hand held to once a month appointments lol glad you have your appointment soon.

@katekat8721 I know what you mean about visualizing. DH says he will feel less anxious knowing the gender.
  • 10 weeks yesterday! I can't believe how quickly I'm moving up the list. The nausea is still there, but I'm finally able to drink some water (my trick? Add 1/4 apple juice to 3/4 water. The increased acid and taste make it much easier to tolerate.) And I'm able to eat more. I found the hb on my Doppler twice now, so that makes me feel much better!
QOTD: I really want to be team green, mh really wants to find out. I really want to give mh a boy bc he's the last of his family name. I'd like a boy to carry it on. But mh said after spending a year with his little princess, he'd be totally ok with another girl! I sort of feel like it's a girl bc it's pretty similar to my last pregnancy with the nausea and food aversions.

  • @tj1979 aww that's so cute about YH loving his little girl so much he would love another!
  • I'd love to be added! I just got my BFP confirmed 2 days ago, but Betas have looked great (230, then 750). EDD is June 26, 2014. So excited!

I could never be Team Green. I'm too much of a planner, not knowing would drive me crazy! Also, I'm an interior designer, so the nursery is a big thing for me. I would be happy with any sex, but I'm secretly wishing for a girl.

  • Hi everyone

Nothing new here except for the extreme nausea as some of you also seem to be experiencing. Keep trying to remind myself it's all worth it. Still waiting on ultrasound.

Hoping to stay on the green team. We feel there are very few surprises in life and this is one of the best surprises.

Had my second US this am. Soo cool! We are 7wks1day and their measurements were right on track and they were exactly symmetrical in size. Heartbeats at 140. I love seeing them! We have graduated and will see OB in two weeks!!! Nausea is no joke. I have a few good hours in the morning then feel like I have the stomach bug. I also haven't found the perfect food yet. Good luck to everyone and happy weekend!

Qotd: I think it is crazy we already know since we did genetic testing. We have a boy and girl. I would be team green in any other circumstance, but DH is definitely a planner.

  • May I be added?  I don't have an exact EDD, though somewhere around June 20 or 21st  I will be able to update that next week.

We will be green team!  we look forward to the surprise!

  • 10w5d today....can not believe I'm only a few weeks away from 2nd tri!!!!!  Seems like things were quiet until this 10th week but this week was a tough one. I was previously able to keep nausea away by snacking a lot but that's not working anymore. No yacking though, knock on wood, so that's good. I'm also having a week of insomnia!!! When I actually finally do get to sleep I've been thrashing, literally thrashing, MH says so he's been sleeping on the couch :(    This morning I woke up laying on the bed in a diagonal with my head at the foot of the bed sprawled out, LOL no idea what was going on last night.

QOTD:   Not only are we finding out the gender, we're going to an early scan place. I'm just too anal retentive about everything and need to know. Another reason is that when we moved here last year, all the rooms were painted white except baby's room which had one bright blue accent wall. So....I'd like to get a head start on painting cuz I think that's going to be tough to turn pink, LOL

  • @rockpaperlove that is such a great idea to open the envelope with family I never thought of that! Great idea!

@kflynn81 I'm like hours away from any ultrasound centers so I'm jealous! Also a blue base to some pinks can make the pink come out deep and rich so it might work in your favor depending on the tone you want. I love painting.
  • Can't believe I am in my 12th week!  I don't have any appointments for awhile because I am going to be away in Miami and was having trouble scheduling something before I left.  DH and I are taking DD and we just wanted to do one more smaller vacation before the twins arrive.  I am getting so excited to be away!

I am still having nausea and some vomiting.  Every week I think that maybe this is the week I will stop being so sick, but so far it never is.

QOTD:  We are finding out.  Hopefully around 16 weeks.  We did an awesome gender reveal with DD and it was the best moment of my entire pregnancy!  This time we will probably do something small like open the envelope with my parents.  As for the sex if we have girls that is great because we have tons of stuff.  However I think they are boys because my pregnancy feels different this time around.  More of the old wives tales point to boys - example my skin isn't bad, craving salt, and although I am nauseous and throwing up it is much less than it was with DD!

  • Ummmm, hello!
Seems very weird to be posting here! I am thrilled to be a part of the group. I am just 5 weeks today, but I've already had an ultrasound due to significant daily bleeding. Ultrasound shows a gestational sac in the uterus (thank god), but no answers for the bleeding. RE is switching me over from vag crinone to PIO. I am very nervous, but praying hard!

  • Hello!
We had a great appt last week with RE.  Ten weeks and 4 days!  The baby was moving all around on the ultrasound!  He said he wasn't worried about the bleeding I had previously had and that if the baby is growing well by ten weeks there is not likely to be any major chromosomal abnormalities.  It is starting to sink in that we might actually get a baby out of this!  Started weaning meds, so I'm just on 1/2 PIO (ready for that to be over) and 2 estrogen patches.  I told my parents they could tell some of their close friends, and my mom sent a mass email to the entire school where she works!  So annoying but I know she's excited!
We are definitely finding out.  I need to plan!!

  • I can't believe I'm 13 weeks! Woohoo! Second trimester! I'm still queasy here and there, but feel good more than I feel bad. And food is wonderful instead of just something gross which I have to force down. Soooo glad to be out of the first tri!!

We are finding out for sure, and our A/S appt is four weeks from Friday... Can't wait! I would really like a baby girl (have a DS so one of each would be great). My parents only have grandsons, so I am positive they would like a girl too. DS and DH are hoping for a boy. We would all be happy with either really though, as long as its a healthy baby!

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm!
Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14

  • Add me please! I just got back from my first u/s and was so excited to see one little bean, complete with a flashing heartbeat; the RE said things look as good as they can, and I'm free to feel cautiously optimistic (which I guess in infertility world is a glowing report).  I'm just over 6 weeks and am living up to every first tri symptom - nausea, vomiting, exhaustion, headaches, sore boobs, etc.  However, now that I know it's definitely all to support a growing baby (I was so terrified they were going to see an empty sack) I mind a little bit less :)  EDD 6.15.13

We will be finding out.  I'm pretty ambivalent about knowing ahead of time, but DH is desperate to know.  He's deployed until well into the 3rd tri, and he thinks knowing the sex will help him feel more connected so he can visualize what life will be.  My plan is to have the gender in an envelope and show him over Skype before I look since I'm getting to see everything else before him. We both think it'll be a boy, "confirmed" by the very scientific Chinese gender predictor and the Ramzi method of uterus placement.  Of course we'll be thrilled either way, but with so many "signs" pointing to boy I think we'd both be a little taken aback if it's a girl!

Me: 33, HSG & b/w normal; partial septate uterus   DH: 33, SA good but low morphology (3%)

  • Hey everyone! Sorry for the late post. I'm 11w1d today! I'm getting so excited for the next steps in this journey. I've had some issues with nausea pretty consistently at breakfast time, most of the day, and then at dinner time until I eat. Evenings are usually okay after I eat dinner. I've had to eat so much food in small amounts throughout the day to keep it at bay. I had only thrown up one time until today...I lost my breakfast this morning for no apparent reason. That was exciting - it really caught me off guard and DH came running into the kitchen where I had my head in the sink. He was like, "What happened?" I just pointed to my uterus. :) I am really hoping that 12 weeks will be my magic number to get rid of the MS, but all in all, I'm still just feeling so lucky and happy to be pregnant.

We are team green. We really want to be surprised at birth! After all the "information" that comes with going through IVF, we are excited to save one surprise for the end. :)

Hope you are all doing well!
