Weekend plans?

What's going on this weekend?

Tonight we going out to eat and to do some more fall clothes shopping. DS has plenty but both DH and I could use a few pieces. I also think I might try to sneak in some Christmas shopping.... Tomorrow I will have all day with DS (any good craft/activity ideas?). Then we will be heading to my hometown that evening for homecoming!

Tonight we're going to a Fall Festival at Betsy's school. Tomorrow morning I have a Junior League team-building thing, but nothing planned for the afternoon or evening. On Sunday we'll do church and brunch, watch some football in the afernoon, and then Betsy has cotillion Sunday evening. Pretty tame overall. It's supposed to rain all weekend, I think.

Tonight a couple of my girlfriends are coming over for wine. Tomorrow we're finally supposed to bring DS apple picking, like we've been trying to do for the past month..things just kept "coming up".

Tomorroe night we have a babysitter coming to watch DS for the first time so DH and I can have a much needed date night. I'm super excited but also kinda nervous about leaving DS with a new person.

Getting some happy hour drinks with my geigh husband after work.

Real H and I are having date night tomorrow-- we are going to go see Gravity!

DD and I will also probably visit a pregnant friend on Sunday to cheer her up. She broke her ankle badly and had to have surgery (5 months pregnant!) and is house bound.

Hopefully I can get some cleaning and yard work done. I have to grocery shop too. I still don't quite have a handle on getting everthing done with two kids.

We're headed to Dh's grandpa's house in bumblefuck MO. I love his Gpa

We'll go to the fall festivals of the neighboring towns, check out gpa's farm, eat out. Should be fun! Except all 4 of us will be in 1 room.

I won the tire battle for my car, so Saturday the car is getting new tires. I also hope to get some Christmas shopping done, and watch ungodly amounts of Football, and TWD.

I went to the one in Hammond (Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch) last year. I'm not driving to Hammond this year. It was ok, but not great. I'm going to one in B.R. that I haven't been to, but my friend recommended. It's Trinity Oaks Pumpkin Patch and is affiliated with Trinity Lutheran Church. I know nothing about it, but my friend said there are activities for young children. So I'll give it a try.

What is this?

Mainly a manners class, some ballroom dancing for older kids. It's a Southern thing, I think. A friend of mine runs the cotillion in town, and a group of us got a little private class together because we all have girls around the same age. We drink wine while the girls learn manners.

Going on a girl's weekend with my mom and sisters. We are staying at this little hotel near these beautiful gardens and we have spa appointments booked all weekend. I'm SO EXCITED! It's my first time away since the kid was born.

That sounds delightful. I am googling to see if we do that up here.

It's fun. I think Betsy is a little too young, though. The girls in her group that are 4-4.5 are getting a lot more out of it than she is. So far they've covered introductions, eye contact, and birthday party etiquette. This week they're talking about good sportsmanship.

Ollie is having a "Fall Fun Day" at school next week. He goes to a Baptist church preschool, so no Halloween! If we send candy it can't be Halloween themed (no point to this). Anyway, they are also having "trunk or treat" the Sunday evening before Halloween. I'm definitely taking him.....because more candy!

I'm going to avoid my roommate like the plague until he's finished moving out tomorrow and then on Sunday I'm going to steam clean the carpets in his room and clean out the cupboards of all old food that's been left behind. Super exciting!

BFF's baby shower tomorrow and then taking DD to our friends' on Sunday for a mini Halloween celebration. Then, DH and I are off together on Monday.

I have to buy Jerry (my 10 year old) a suit. Next Saturday (10/26) my mom is getting married & Jerry is walking her down the aisle. Oh shit, and dress shoes. He's in a super awkward size phase and no pants fit. I've been dreading the end of summer. And it has to be a nice suit, because although I love her my mom is a serious snob. Yay.

With John (the 2 year old) in tow. He's sick. And my friend (who typically hates shopping) wants to go to Williams-Sonoma.

It occurs to me I haven't asked DH if he has plans or wants to do anything tomorrow. Hmm.

Then Sunday is the normal church in the morning and jackshit in the afternoon.

DH and DD1 are going rock climbing with both BILs. Then we're going to lunch. Sunday will be low key...maybe getting Halloween costumes ready.
