  Wet, frozen washcloths and frozen carrot sticks have worked wonders for DS.  He LOVES the washcloths.  We wet them and put them in the freezer for just a few minutes so they get really cold and he gnaws away, then sucks the water out when they thaw.  DS has 3 teeth and the top, two just broke through last week.  They are by far much worse than the bottom two, and the other top one he got a while back.  It seems the others have taken about 2-3 weeks to fully grow in. 

   

  p.s....I've heard, but never tried, frozen BM or formula cubes in a mesh feeder are good.  Good luck!

  Don't use orajel! It's bad. Get the hylands teething gel. It's awesome

  DD's best friend and she's only got one tooth so far.  She loooooves Sophie.  Sophie's long legs also allow babies to chew when their back teeth start coming in.

  I second the PP that mentioned cold/frozen washcloths - DD loves that!  We also have this teether that is in the shape of a raspberry and it's nubby and DD will chew on that for hours, even when it's not cold.  I think my mom got it at Babies R Us.  Unfortunately sometimes there's no cure to the pain and LO just has to work through it.  But keep offering anything cold.  We keep a few teethers in the fridge so there's a constant supply if needed.
