Baby proofing brick fireplace

We have a stone fireplace it's pretty dangerous and we're going to just line it with one of the foam play mats we did a test run and they stayed up. she could still pull it down but with them all connected it stayed in place really well so if she fell she would hit the foam. We will just have to keep an eye out for her pulling it down and teach her not to do that.
