Pregnant after 35

Tick Tock

Insomnia has returned. Every night I wake up at some point and can't get back to sleep for a couple hours at least. I'm running out of ways to occupy myself. Somebody post something entertaining LOL!

Re: Tick Tock

  • I should have come and said hello during one of the many times my crazy dreams woke me up last night.  I hope you return to resting well soon!

  • Guennie:  I  hope you ended up getting some good sleep.

Typically I have the hardest time falling and then staying asleep but this last week or so I have been out and dead to the world for 8 solid hours- 10 if I can get away with it.  I've never slept so deeply but I know this isn't going to last forever.

I am NOT looking forward to insomnia.  My default is to reach for a sleeping aid and I guess that's fairly out of the question now.  Except Unisom.  Do you take anything for sleep?
  • If I can tell ahead of time I'm not going to sleep well I will take a Benadryl. But I have been falling asleep early completely exhausted. I then wake up about every 2 hours needing to switch sides and/or pee. I am able to fall asleep again until about 3 or 4 am and that's when I'm suddenly just awake. :(

  • Ohhhh I hate the 3-4 am pee.  I feel your pain!!!!

  • This is so me. I'm up between 2:30 and 4:00 in the morning regardless of the time I fall asleep. I hate it! I don't know what it is. It frustrates me a lot.
  • Everybody says, "Get plenty of rest now because you won't get any sleep with a newborn!" Ya right! They must forget what it's like to be pregnant!

  • I was just telling my mom that I'm having a lot of sleepless nights from tossing and turning to find comfort. I feel like I'm sleeping on bricks lately. LOL!!!

  • Now it's my turn to be up in the middle of the night.   I hope everyone is having peaceful dreams!

  • Agreed with all! The worst is waking up at 2:30-3am not being able to go back to sleep and then working all day. My brain is much by 2pm.
