I'm so upset! We are supposed to close on our new house on Friday, and on our current house the following Friday. But we found out today that the appraisal came back way low (they won't count the finished attic as square footage) so the buyer is pulling out. 
I knew everything was going much too smoothly, and something bad was bound to happen. Sad face.
UPDATE: Oh you won't believe this, it just gets better and better! Now the buyer is suing us for "misrepresentation" for putting an incorrect square footage on the house info. He's asking for 800 for the inspection, appraisal, and earnest money. What an ahole.

Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!

I'm sorry that is terrible! I know how you feel we had s@it buyers do it to use 24 days to closing after being under contract for 2 months cuasing us to lose our other house we were settling on. I wouldn't give they a dime! That is their responsibility to pay for. Screw them! Are they not willing to come up with the rest of the money??

Holy shit. What an asshole. I dealt with some pretty interesting stuff when we bought our house (deal fell through a week before close because there was a sewer lien on the house and buyer wanted us to assume it but town wouldn't allow.) and NEVER would've thuoght of suing. Give me a break. That's ridiculous.

As an aside, our current home came in under appraisal in 2008. We came up with the cash difference. 2 years later it appraised for $200k more when we refid. It is crazy the discretion that appraisers have.
