Hi all!
I haven't posted here in a long time, but I am in serious need of help with my baby's eating. She just turned 1 on Saturday. Up until today, she was nursing first thing in the morning, then would have 3 bottles of formula throughout the day (1pm, 4:30pm, and bedtime). We have always struggled with solids. She hardly eats anything - she does eat one big bowl of oatmeal every morning. She also will eat some frozen veggies, cheerios, and baby food pouches.
Anyway, we had her 1 year today and our Dr said to completely stop formula and bottles starting today (but I can keep nursing). She was concerned that she still isn't eating very many solids (she's also in the 5% weight, so she's small). Needless to say, that didn't go well. DD fussed all evening, barely ate any food, screamed bloody murder when I tried to give her cow's milk, so I finally gave up and gave her a bottle of formula.
Sorry this is SO long! But any advice on what to do? The concern is definitely more of her not wanting regular food, more so than not using a sippy cup. The Dr. doesn't think she will want to eat regular food while she still has the option of formula.
Please give any advice you can think of! I'm desperate! Thanks so much!!!!

Also, just so you know, my doctor said her stomach is still only about as big as her fist so what she needs is less...that helped me feel a little better in regards to quantity of food she'll eat! Hope it improves soon!
As for food, my kids got bored with purees. Ds2 eats: cut up turkey burgers, diced chunk cheese, diced fruits and veggies, cheerios, and pretty much everything we eat - just cut up. This morning we had whole wheat french toast with a thin layer of real maple syrup. He ate the whole piece! I made mini blueberry muffins last week and those were a hit.
We also do occasional pb&j, grilled cheese and mac and cheese. I have a three year old too. I just try to make everything as healthy as possible.
