New here...8 weeks today

Nevermind my sig...can't get it to work correctly.

Anyway, we are 8 wks pregnant with triplets due to IVF. After our daughter, Grace was born last 10.25 (almost 1!!), we did 2 failed transfers, a 3rd ended ectopic, and this 4th was a total shock! How do you get 3 negatives then all the sudden EVERYTHING works?!? Taking it day by day and trying to gain weight (up 6#) as I started underweight. Having a CVS November 5 and we'll go from there. Of course, Drs are in favor of SR, but that is a huge toll on me as far as moral acceptability goes. Right now, we are at "what is best for the most babies." I believe God allowed this for a reason. I think I'm understanding why I dealt with a severely colicky baby too (screaming 12 hrs/day)...to get me ready for this! In all honesty, we are very blessed. Will begin seeing MFMs 10.23. Already had 2 bleeding episodes that were due to a SCH. I am at Northwestern and in the best of hands! The SCH was 22x34 on Saturday am when I went in for an emergency u/s after Friday's bleeding, then hardly visible Monday. God works quickly!! Prayers answered! Hoping to learn a lot from this board, esp how to deal with a triplet pregnancy with an 11-month-old. We are looking into au pairs, hopefully to begin in Jan, in case there are problems early. Grace was born 36w6w and though I had been dilated 3-3.5 for weeks, I believe she came due to version to turn her, as she was here 36 hrs later. Not sure why I did the version and would not recommend it. Loved my c-section! That's my story...hoping this all goes well! btw, EDD is 4.3.14.

Congrats and welcome! I am also expecting triplets after our 5th iui cycle. I have a DS who is 4. Our MFM brought up SR but we had already decided not to, so they didn't push it on us. Good luck with whatever you decide, I spent a lot of time thinking about it even while still going through treatments!
