Nothing good right now. Mostly fruit, veggies, and meat since that is all I can have until baby is born. I really want a big mac, and fries, and a frosty.
A turkey and pastrami melt on a Parmesan bagel. I forgot, though, we have a ton of chicken tortilla soup leftover that I made for dinner last night. As quick grab and eat things: granola bars, dried mangoes, and pumpkin bread. Lots of pumpkin bread, I've made 7 loaves since I've been on maternity leave.
I've been cooking more often again. However last night I made one of those bertolli skillet bag things, the chicken florentine one and it was actually good. Just had the rest for lunch.
@Brittlentz I can't even imagine not having an appetite after birth. I feel like I've been eating non-stop since about 4 hours after he was born!!!! Not much weight loss going on for me!
I keep a mega jar of m and ms beside my bed. If I am up bf-ing in the middle of the night, I am eating m and ms to make up for the total suck of sleep deprivation!!
Soooo... I had gestational diabetes, so I've mostly been eating Oreos, cake, milkshakes, etc. I mean, I throw in an occasional salad. But yea. Sugar.
@--Halo-- Did your GD go away right away? I was told I'll retested 6 weeks after I deliver! I'm still planning on having an ice cream cake as soon as we get home from the hospital!
@LeaLea123 My dietician said that everything would most likely go back to normal as soon as the placenta detached. The nurses tested me a couple of times in the hospital and my numbers were normal. They gave me juice and let me have whatever I wanted to eat. It was glorious.
I will also go back and do a 6 week checkup with the dietician, but I don't think I have to do a glucose test. Have you been checking your numbers?
@--halo-- that's fabulous!!!! I really hope the same happens for me! This GD is no fun!! My #s have dropped like crazy this past week, hopefully that's a good sign!
I'm not eating anything good, well healthy I should say, bc it's all delicious. McChickens & fries from McDonalds a few times a week. Ice cream. Pizza. And lots & lots of ice water!!
Holy crap!!!!! I'm jealous! @--halo-- I'm excited for you! I can't wait to eat a pound of spaghetti and ice cream cake!! It's very exciting! I'll never eat an egg again once this GD is gone!
I've been so hungry after giving birth up until yesterday, so for nearly two weeks I was eating every hour and a half, I am trying to be better though and the munchies are wearing off slowly.
Can't figure out a siggy for my life, but just in case:

Re: My diet
oooh, and devil dogs, and m&ms, and cereal...
As quick grab and eat things: granola bars, dried mangoes, and pumpkin bread. Lots of pumpkin bread, I've made 7 loaves since I've been on maternity leave.
What I really want to eat: Ice cream cake, pumpkin pie, pizza, spaghetti!
If you don't know what Auntie Anne's is i feel sorry for you!
I will also go back and do a 6 week checkup with the dietician, but I don't think I have to do a glucose test. Have you been checking your numbers?
So, is all the bad food even tastier now?
They brought me a milkshake and a piece of pie for dessert after my first lunch in the hospital. I was in heaven.
