Most families I know have meat for dinner every night. We generally have it maybe twice? I'm not a huge meat eater and I do the shopping and cooking and meat is expensive!
We really just eat chicken, turkey and fish. We eat beef maybe once every 2 weeks. My husband is not a beef eater and refuses to eat ground beef. I've never cooked a steak. Pork is out of the question. Except for bacon.
The more meat the better! LOL we have meat for every dinner and usually for lunch too. We don't so much red meat even though I don't think it's bad for you like people used to think. We do turkey, a lot of chicken and I love me my breakfast meats! We also eat a fair bit of elk and deer meat depending on if DH has killed anything or if we get it from friends.

I've never had elk, but I love me some venison!
We started making fajitas with it in the crockpot...seriously to die for!

We generally eat meat with every meal. However, I am trying to convince DH to try some vegetarian meals, to save some money on groceries. He is not a picky eater by any means, but he grew up thinking that a meal isn't complete without some meat!
I could probably become a vegetarian if I weren't so lazy. I don't have the energy to cook separate meals for myself and DH.
I used to be a vegetarian for a couple of years but I missed the taste of meat. Total omnivore again. Gore alert: We butcher a freezer full of organic chickens almost every year. Totes delicious.
