I got my first stupid comment from someone today

I was talking to my coworker this afternoon. I don't remember what exactly what we were talking about but it was something about me being pregnant. She said out of nowhere "Yeah, I can really see the weight gain." And I said "Gee, thanks. Thats depressing." And then she said "Oh, its not that bad! Its mainly in your face. I noticed it looked puffy." WTH?!! I have only gained 3 pounds! I didn't even bring that up, why would she just up and say that?! Sigh. Oh well. She is known around the office for being blunt and saying things she should just keep to herself.

LOL...the SAME COMMENT happened to me at work. Exact same!! But, this is from a person who when they found out I have lupus (SLE) said, oh, isn't that the disease that women make up in their head? So, I take what he says with a grain of salt. Well, less than a grain of salt.

I also have SLE and when I found out 2 years ago had some big fallings out with so called friends over this kind of thing! Needless to say I don't really talk to them much anymore!!

Yea, I work with this guy on a daily basis and MOST of the stuff he says is total BS. I sit next to him and I figured it wasn't worth being uncomfortable everyday at work to have a falling out over. From that point on, I just privately roll my eyes at what he says :-) No need to make extra stress on my part because someone is ridiculously ignorant. Plus, everyone knows he spouts BS all the time.

I was diagnosed almost 14 years ago, so, any "friends" who fell by the wayside as a result of my illness I don't miss AT all. It was tough at first though!!

Ugh some people! A lady at my work yesterday said she thinks I'm having a girl because I'm gaining weight all over and not just my belly. And then to top that off she went on further to tell me especially my butt was getting big. Okay..... What?!??! Why would you even think that was remotely close to okay to say?!?

That stinks some people do not care about your feelings at all. I had someone say the exact same thing to me and since I have a short fuse right now I just looked at her and said "well that was rude." Her mouth dropped open and and I walked away. Some people just have no filter and I think they forget themselves how they felt when they were pregnant.

My my had lupus... She felt amazing bring pregnant, supposedly.. I was in utero, lol. Also, that person I would have kicked in the shin. Hard as I could.

I am lucky. I've been feeling really well for the past few years :-)
