Radiation

We live in a condo building. They are conducting radiation scans tonight to locate pipes under the second floor. We live on the third floor. They're telling me that its safe because of the space between the floors and that the radiation is basically blocked by a film they put on the second floor itself. But all residents on the first and second floor are not staying here tonight. I'm weirded out and am considering leaving as well though we also have our dog to consider. What would you do? Anyone familiar with this?

Agree! I am way too paranoid to stay.

  • I'm the type that always thinks of the worst that "could" happen. I'd rather go out of my way to avoid a maybe situation than kick myself later for not doing something to prevent it. Better safe than sorry. And that stinks that you have to deal with this in the first place. GL!
  • I'd spend the night else where. Could you look up a pet friendly hotel near by (if you can't find anywhere else)?

  • I'd spend the night elsewhere as well.

  • Red roof inns take pets! Just an FYI.
    Married DH <3 : 7/7/12; 3 fur babies (2 dogs and 1 cat)

  • We are all set at a friends house. I was uncomfortable with the idea of staying home and she was sweet enough to take us in (including our gigantic yellow lab). As PP said, better safe than sorry!

Oh lovely, as I was writing this my friend came down to tell us that our dog took a gigantic crap in the middle of their bedroom while she and I were talking in the kitchen. fml!
