My MW Office called (they didn't know about the loss)

The manager called yesterday to say my MW wouldn't be returning from a leave of absence (and presumably to reassign me). I said "well, I lost the pregnancy so I won't be needed your services anyway". She felt so bad. I said it wasn't her fault - I never called and told them because I presumed the OB that did the NT scan where the m/mc was discovered would have reported back and if he didn't then how would they have known. I wasn't upset by the call. But it got me wondering if the OB did send the report and it reminded me that if I were still pg I would be 16+ weeks. I am still bleeding too. I never passed (as far as I know) the retained product they saw on u/s last week. I just want this to be done.

    That is not a good call-just another reminder. I am sure she felt terrible. I would call back and see if she sent the results in. Do you have any follow up appointment? I had a d & c, and this is my first miscarriage, so I am not sure what the protocol is.

    I would call your dr and tell them you are still bleeding. If you have not passed the tissue, you may need a D & C. I hope all of this gets resolved for you soon. I am so sorry you are having to go through this. ((HUGS))

    @cactus5 I had a medical miscarriage and was told no follow up was necessary unless there was something wrong. I actually wound up in the ER 1.5 weeks later (last Weds) for cramps, heavy bleeding and clots and they found retained tissue. Only a bit, so ER doc conferred with the OB that had done my scan and they decided another dose of misoprostol should do the trick and again, no follow up necessary. I didn't really pass anything more, but I'm just going to wait and see. 
    @megrae12 I should say I'm really only spotting. I'm going to wait and see what happens. As much as I would like to know this is over, I'm not going to do a D&C yet.
