Measured at 5w5d at first appointment but...

An empty gestational sac. She took my second betas today... Result should come back soon. She wants to see me first thing Monday morning. LMP put me at 6 weeks 6 days I measured a week behind with a gsac of 10.4mm but nothing inside. She used the possible m words. I'm almost emotionless now. Scared.

I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.
BFP #2 9/28/13....EDD 6/7/14
I have had this happen twice. The first time, did not end well. It turned out to be a blighted ovum. The second time it happened it was with DS2. He was measuring 2 weeks behind. I was supposed to be 6w and the sac was measuring 4w and there was no fetal pole. 10 days later at the follow up ultrasound he was there and measuring exactly what he should have. Now that I know him, he is definitely my late bloomer so it makes sense that it took him extra time to catch up from the beginning. He is my healthiest happy guy but boy was I scared.
There is soooo much variation in early pregnancy and they really should not be performing so many early ultrasounds especially if they are going to start using the M word so readily.
I am sorry that you are going through this. I hope your little seed will catch up soon.
Also something worth mentioning is that some women with tilted uterus will not show a baby until they are around 9 weeks. It is rare but possible.
