Anyone ever watch Sister Wives? I'm sitting here bored and relaxing, and decided to check it out, cause IDK, it was something to watch.
Anyone else ever watch this? Opinions?
I find it interesting that the guy (Cory) wants to keep his lifestyle under wraps, and doesn't want his boss to know and yet here he is on a TV show...
Also, OMG those names!

I think many of the problems in the FLDS (the cult itself, not all polygamist families) stem from secrecy. The arranged marriages and distrust of the U.S. government began in the 1940s when they broke up families, imprisoned the husbands, many of them never reuniting with their extended families. Christine's (Kody's 3rd wife) grandfather was imprisoned in this raid.
I admire the Brown family for the having the courage to become public. This goes against every norm in their society. Many of their family and friends weren't happy with this decision.
By no means do I think the Brown family is perfect and obviously they have some problems in their marriages, but I believe as long as the adults are consenting, it should be legal.

I've seen the show a few times. They seem to function very well as a family and most importantly they seem to be far from the type that raise their girls to be married off at super young ages to whomever their "leader" decides.
I have no problem with polygamy, polyamoury, open relationships, etc. Different strokes for different folks. There are some beautiful non-monogamous relationships out there.

Although it isn't my lifestyle choice, I think they rock for having the courage to go public with their family. To each his own, and if that's what they want, who are we to judge?
I love the show, because it shows how truly different everyone is in their household, religion, and beliefs.
Go Brown Family
I agree! That is 100% true as well. In the end, no matter how many wives he has, or children. The most important thing to him is his family, and he makes that clear. Which is why I like him so much.

What was really interesting is that she said the producers staged everything and set people against each other. She did not want to be in the drama, therefore less airtime, less money
I have a friend who's a casting director for reality shows and he'd be the first to tell you just how fake and set up they are.

I don't know why but it would not bother me to share my husband with a sister wife. My hubs thinks I'm nuts and says he could not deal with 2 wives. I think I like the idea of a team effort, even in the bedroom;) lol.
