Hello Ladies,
I wanted to do a introduction. Just had D&C today at 9 weeks. After some suspicious early US and then no HB yesterday OB did the D&C today. Was on the May board with a few of the other ladies I see here. So sorry for everyone's losses and struggles. Its a challenging time. (((HUGS))))
This is our second pregnancy and we were TTC. DS will be 2 next week and we really want a sibling for him. The fetal tissue will be sent out for chromosomal testing. OB said it could take up to 4 weeks for results....ugg to the long wait. But she will call if she gets meaningful results early. My follow up visit is in 3-4 weeks when they expect results. She said without seeing the genetic testing we should assume we will have to wait 2 cycles to TTC. She also said somethign about giving me a high dose of folic acid (shot maybe??). Anyone else had this? She said in her experience concentrated does of folic acid dose does thee trick for next time around. I'll still take prenatal vitamins, but she wants to the super dose.
I am surprised at how good i feel after the D&C. Very little bleeding so far and no pain. I think maybe the pain killers they gave me in surgery are still kicking. Taking the rest of the week off from work. DS is in daycare so tomorrow will be a me day. Going to do a few of the things I love and give myself some mental downtime.
