My baby is 3 months old and I've been having issues since shortly after he was born. I've been to see a lactation consultant several times and just recently went to the OB to have them prescribe some nipple cream and the medication used for yeast (can't remember the name). It's been about 2 weeks and while I feel like it's gotten much better, I'm still having issues with thrush and nipple cracking on the left side (ironically the side that produces almost ALL of my milk). I think the nipple cracking is due to a bad latch which had stemmed from having flat nipples(sometimes the latch is great, other times not so great). I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what have you done? I'm so frustrated by it all but I really don't want to stop nursing or have to resort to pumping all of the time. I'm pumping now at work and exclusively breast feeding while I'm home or on weekends.
