I guess I'll just ask your opinion. DS is 13 months old now and I would love to be pregnant again. However, I can't decide if I should get pregnant now or get through my 2 year college program that I just started. I will be 34 next month and it makes me nervous to wait to have another one. We got pregnant with DS quickly and he was an easy and smooth pregnancy. I'm afraid if I wait 2 years that we wont get pregnant as easily and they older you are the more risks involved. So what would you do? Have another right now and put off school a little longer or wait and graduate first before having a second? I've been thinking about this for months and I can't figure it out.
Re: school or baby?? I can't decide
Many of my friends are pushing 40 and still (easily) having healthy babies. Age is only a number.
School+babies = rough. I am sooo happy to be done with my MBA.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
I started when DS#1 was 1 and then took a year break to have DS #2. There was a small overlap of pregnancy and studying. If you just need to get through the program, then perhaps you could study until LO is born and then take a little break. However, if you want to do well and really get into your studying, do not overlap.
As pp said, age is not the biggest determinant at your age. Consider age difference between kids and what would work best for your family. Getting myself into school was additional deterrent from trying for #2 until we were financially ready.
If your baby rabies are getting bad, then it is probably best to have a baby and return back to school, otherwise your mind will never be on your studies.
GL !
My point is we can't wait for a perfect time because there isn't one. If you love being a mom and want another little one then go for it. School can be figured out... There's nothing like the joy an happiness a baby brings. And no babies aren't a whim.... But it's ok to look for advice or affirmation that you're making the right choice.
