Totally agree...cool whip is beyond digusting. Whenever someone is talking to me about whipped cream and brings out cool whip, I wonder what's wrong with them. I do like real whipped cream though.

I only like caramel and butterscotch, but not chocolate.. or much else, as far as sweets. Except ice cream, I love that.

I own a baking business on the side, and I throw away almost all my 'extras' because I don't like cake. I just like making cake pretty, lol. DH isnt a sweets person either... super weird.

Here's one I know is unpopular around here -

I think the board guidelines and having mods on a BMB are two ridiculous things.

Now, before you tell me the "if you don't like it leave" line, let me say I choose to hang out here because 1. I like TB and 2. I think there are some pretty cool girls here I am looking forward to getting to know.

My last BMB was awesome and I am good friends with a few of those girls IRL now. We never needed rules or guidelines or the crazy number of check ins and it was much more chill. It is off putting that a board would have these things and I do intend to continue to ignore them because of the reasons I listed above.

I think moms that hover over their kids at the playground are freaking annoying. I understand if they're too little to play on their own but other than that, let them play. They're kids. If they have a tiff, let them figure it out because 9 times out of 10 they don't care anymore after about 2 seconds.

I dont' like breakfast meat of any kind, bacon...sausage (in any form)....Canadian bacon. YUCK prolly stems from the fact that I don't like PORK of any kind.

I am doing professional announcement pics but thats just because it so happens that hubs and I have a really close bond with our wedding photographer and shes always up for taking some pics of us for cheap. we are also combining them with Christmas cards so it'll all go together. (we would have done the Christmas shoot anyway)

I always thought push presents was a celebrity bullshit joke. Normal people actually do this??? Man, I don't want to be friends with anyone that thinks they deserve a push present. (I haven't gotten presents for going to the doctor since I was 5. Because that's the last time you should get presents for going through something scary/painful.)

I hate when I see a couple sit on the same side of the table at a restaurant when it's just them. How can you have a conversation comfortably? It seems so wierd to me. I love my husband and like bing close to him but when there is food- mama needs her space.

That actually kind of goes with another: I instantly lose respect for someone If their mate orders their meal for them. And not just bc the other is busy dealing with kids or in the bathroom. It makes me want to scream into their face about gaining some independence.

We got 'thank God we are actually parents' presents for the Christmas after DD was born (watch for him/earrings for me). We didnt have an awful go of it as these things go, but there were hormone treatments, a m/c and 13 mos of ttc, so we wanted somthing nice to congratulate/cellibrate- much like you do gifts for graduations & weddings- large life milestones. Hate the push present term though.

I think women that like to act like "one of the guys" is just being AWish and it's almost like a desperate attempt to get male attention. Don't get me wrong, I love cars, I like getting my hands dirty and I like football but the women that desperately try to be "one of the guys" is just too much for me. I had a girlfriend tell me "you're such a girl!" ... well yeah, I do in fact have a vagina. So do you so what's your point?

We are major food sharers, so depending on the layout of the table, and what we are ordering, sometimes we do both of those things. Most of the time we wanna see each others faces and talk while we eat, but food is def a love language for both of us; if it is easier to swap plates and pick off the appetizer together on the same side, I'm sitting next to him!

I understand wanting to talk and share food but its more difficult and uncomfortable to talk sitting right next to him. I want to sit across so I can see his face and hold eye contact. I can see how it would be easier to share food if you're next to each other. However most of the sharing at our table is on my husbands part. I am kind of a selfish eater.

not sure if this is unpopular or not, but I loathe people who name their baby while still pregnant and require that everyone else call the baby by name when it is not even born yet.

For example:

Jane: "Hey Sue, have you felt the baby kick yet?"

Sue: "No Jane, I haven't felt EMMA kick yet. We aren't calling her baby, we are calling her by name".

Sorry, that's just weird to me.

Totally think its fine to do on your own as some way of bonding. To make outsiders do this, beyond weird. I'm a FTM and I don't want anyone calling my baby by name while its still inside of me. Luckily, they don't expect it here. They actually think its weird if you name before the baby has been out and about for a month :-)

I was team green with dd, so I called her
'It' all the time which weirded my sr manager out. Then once she was here it took me a week of so to get adjusted to her having an appropriate pronoun (eg- DH you need to take it so I can shower... I mean her).

I agree with women that are fakely being one of the guys. I've always had mostly guy friends - I'm big into comic books and not so much into so-called "girly" stuff, but you can always tell the girls that are trying too hard to be into sports or comic books because they think it's impressive rather than something they really like. Just like what you like - don't worry about what it looks like to others.
