Are you fuckingkidding me?! It is 8 pm. Dd1 must be getting sick as she is NEVER asleep this early. Both kids are fast asleep. DH just went back to the GD office.

We live in a large townhouse complex and all the neighbourhood kids play together. Well I had a falling out with the stepdad of one girl that used to be friends with my 11 year old daughter. He was harassing my children so I confronted him about it a week before I had LO and he stood in his doorway and said my "little fat bitch daughter deserved it". I LOST it. I told him he was abusive then he became aggressive and slammed the door in my face. I took my hysterical daughter to the police station and made a report, in our report we said how we had seen bruises (which she had shown me when she used to sleep over) and how my daughter witnessed abuse in their home when she was over there one time. FACS (family and children's services) were called. Fast forward a year later and police have been to their house numerous times, the stepdad was arrested but that idiot mother keeps taking him back after he's abused her kids.
I noticed 2 cruisers back there again after school today, then I see 2 women walk out of the house with their 10 yr old, 3 yr old and 14 month old and 4 cops. The mother also has a 14yr old daughter who went to live with her grandmother because of the abuse a few months ago.
It makes me so sad that these kids are going through this right now. I feel somewhat guilty because I made that report a year ago but he was putting fear in every child in the neighbourhood. Abuse isn't right, it broke my heart seeing the baby being taken. She's only 2 months older than my Ella.
I just don't understand how these parents can do these things to their children..your post reminded me of this because another mother had to call the police one day on these people due to their 3 year old wandering around outside for 45mins on his own in 35 degree Celsius weather trying to get into peoples unlocked cars while his parents were apparently sleeping..he could've died!!
I'm sorry this was so long, thank god you were there to help that child in the road. I don't wish anybody's kids taken from them but things like this call for a serious wake up call.
