At 15 weeks, I'm still dealing with some minor morning sickness, (i hope it'll pass soon), but recently I've been feeling fluttering sensations from where the baby is. What is that? Isn't it too small to feel yet?
You might be experiencing what is known as "quickening" which is the "fluttering" or "bubbling" feeling some women get early in the second trimester. Quickening is when the baby is moving around in your uterus causing the amniotic fluid to swish around. Essentially, the "fluttering" or "bubbling" feeling is the swishing and swoshing around of the fluid in your uterus as your baby move. Usually, quickening occurs around 16 weeks, but some feel it earlier and others later.
Sooooo... in short, you're technically detecting your baby's movements, but you're not feeling the baby him/herself move.
Hi! I am also 15 weeks, and have felt my baby move. Many would say it is crazy, but this is my 5th child and I have felt this before! I am also still having minor morning sickness, but hopefully it will ease up soon enough! Enjoy every little movement you feel, for that way, you know that you are doing a great job
Hello!!! Im 15 weeks, 16 weekson aug 15th, and i have felt a few flutters when i lay down, not often but it was awsome! i cant wait to be able to feel it from the outside of my tummy!
I'm definitely feeling flutters, especially if I am laying very still. Like a tiny bird flapping its wings! If I rest my hand over the baby, I can feel nudges in return. Some people look at me cross-eyed when I say this, but I think depending on the position of your baby and placenta, you may feel movement earlier or later.
I felt it for the first time today while sitting at my desk at work. I felt it in my lower left abdomen, it felt like three little soft kicks. I know it was flutters. This is my second child and I know what they feel like. Wow this is an awesome feeling.
I am! I'll be 16 weeks tomorrow (Friday Sept 28), and I can feel definite movement inside when I lay down at night. I can't feel it outside, but so cool! It's been almost 13 years since I've had a child, so this is like a whole new experience for me:) SO HAPPY!!!
yes i am feeling flutters indeed!... now that i know its quickening it explains it more! wow thats amazing cant wait to feel the actual kicks etc inside and outside of my belly!!!
I'm at 15 weeks and have felt it too. I thought it was WAY too soon to feel anything yet, but I figure it's just a little bonus for being so sick for so long.
I'll be 15 weeks tomorrow, still feel nothing. Though i'm expecting to feel the baby only around week 18, which it is said to be the most probable time to start having this experience when it comes to be your 1st pregnancy (my case).
So i'm not worried. As long as i can hear the heartbeat!
I'm not only feeling flutters but out and out kicks! Baby doesn't like being pressed on and voices their displeasure by kicking me. But that's ok I'm just happy to feel it moving!!
I only felt them once a few weeks ago. I was lying on my side in bed in the morning. I was half awake but didn't want to get up. Then I felt the flutters, it stopped, then they started again. I was only 13 weeks, and I haven't felt them since! I'm impatiently waiting to feel them again.
I'm currently dealing with a new batch of morning sickness and certainly some light fluttering. i keep describing it as someone with a rolling pin inside of me trying to make cookies along my belly. im not sure if this is normal at all.
I can just barely feel 'flutters', but I can feel where baby is laying most of the time. if sitting or standing, I can feel if baby is laying on my right, my left, or moves from front to back. It's just kind of a sensation like there is a large weight in my uterus in a certain place....I haven't heard a lot of other moms say this, but maybe it's because I'm pretty slender? I know I'm right too, because I can tell the doc where to put the Doppler or u/s wand and we can see that baby is where I pointed
