Any one else with "lightning leg" or numb lady parts?

I know it sounds weird, but the baby must be sitting on a nerve or muscle or who knows what. It mostly makes my left leg, hip, and ankle feel like they are numb and achy and tingly, but it also seems to affect the lady parts on the left, too (sorry if TMI). This is very uncomfortable and when I'm walking around at work I feel it's all on fire. Stretching is a no go, even though you'd think it would help! :( Anyone else with experience?? Heeellppppp!!! I am not above moving the baby around but that doesn't do it either. My vagina is numb!!!! Aagghhhhhh!!!

Re: Any one else with "lightning leg" or numb lady parts?

  • This happens to me.. Not normally during the day.. Mine is at night.. My left bottom half goes numb.. It's hard to sleep. I read in the Mayo Clinic guide that this is normal and that it's your uterus/baby/organs bein pushed on your syatic nerve which constricts the blood flow an causes the numbness.. Totally normal. They did say if it is consistent or gets to a point that is seriously effecting your motor skills to call your doc. Hope this helps

  • I get it too. Prenatal yoga stretches work for me but it's a pain to wake up at 3.30 am to stretch. Also my hips go out so the chiro helps too. Talk to your ob or midwife. Mine might send me for physio if it get's really bad.
  • I get it on my right outer thigh. It's annoying and sometimes painful. I was told it shoul go away eventually.
