YouTube is muting my montage...

Anyone struggle with music copyright laws with their video birthday montages? I used music from my iTunes and made the video in iMovie, but when I go to upload it to YouTube, it says that it's muted because the music is copyrighted. Facebook also deleted because of copyright laws? Am I the only one who is dealing with this? Any tricks or tips to get around it?

    @LauraT25, yep! I got an email stating that it contained copyrighted material and that it was deleted...  :(

    @mbm1983, that's what I'm thinking. I'm in the process of trying to figure which of my 4 songs is the one with the copyright flag on it to see where the problem is...

    Hmm. I wonder how they do this.
    What were the songs?
    My guess is they have some sort of bot to monitor this (I do copyright processionally but not for music, which is a whole new ballgame)

    Thanks girls. I'm frustrated with dealing with it for today, so I'm taking a break and trying to figure it out tomorrow....

    The songs are Anything Like Me by Brad Paisley, My Wish by Rascall Flatts, Smile by Uncle Kraker, and Forever Young (fast version) by Bob Dylan.

    Darn, that sucks. I also used a song from my iTunes library, but I didn't run into any problems. I think my songs were in .mp3 format. I'm technologically challenged so I'm no help. Sorry!
