What are some rude things people have said to you while you were out and about with LO?

  • Well I was excusing myself to go feed my LO and my step mom says "look at her, she doesn't need to be fed". She also calls her chub as a NN. FU lady! She's not my favourite person haha.

  • "Well he clearly never misses a meal!" I hate that.

  • I was at a pet store to buy a present for my sister's dog's birthday party (yes, a little wierd, but they don't have kids yet. Lol) and some middle aged man comes over with his dog food and says to LO "Tell your mom to feed you so you don't have to eat your fingers." Thanks random pet store guy, but LO always sucks on his fingers whether he's hungry or not! I wasn't sure if he was kidding or really thought I was starving him.

  • I haven't gotten much rude speak, just awkward. I did get a rude look once that was pretty ridiculous though. I was out with A and my mom, and we stopped in a cupcake shop around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. There were 5 tables lined up, and one end was a group of older women, the other was a man and woman having some kind of meeting, so I took the center table. I was wearing her, but when we sat down my mom asked to hold A. She was quiet/half awake, and I pulled her out of the wrap, and handed her off to my mom. She didn't make a peep, just chilled. The guy in the meeting turned over and gave such an utter look of disgust, that the woman he was with reamed him out and they left. Apparently silent babies in public places are too much for some people!

  • I wrote this on Monday, but I wasn't/can't wear my wedding rings because they don't fit and a women at the grocery store asked me if "the father" was still in the picture. I was too shocked to really tell her how I felt and all I could do was say "yes, my husband is still in the picture!"

I've gotten this comment while wearing my wedding ring! It's rude! I also get the, 'she is so small' comment. I hate it.

  • I have had people tell me when she was around 1-2 months that she was too young to be out. I'm like, do you want a tip or no? Jeesh!
  • My son has 2 strawberries on his nose I've had a few people ask 'what did you do to his face?'

  • I met another mom at the babysitters the other day and she said "Are you Riley's mom? She's such a pork chop! She's so thick around this area" as she waved her hand over her belly and thighs. I thought "pork chop" was cute, she should have shut her mouth after it.

  • If I feed J, my ils will say something along the lines of chubby baby or call her Winston Churchill, it gets in my nerves.
If we go out, J always kicks her blanket off her feet, she hates her feet covered, we always get dirty looks from people about her feet uncovered
  • These are both from five years ago with DD.

I look very young for my age. I'm 30 and people usually think I'm 18-21. When I was pregnant with DD and I was 25, I was talking with a woman working at Macy's. I had asked if she had a maternity section and they didn't so I asked for help finding longer shirts that I could wear in the awkward phase. She helped me find some and when I went to check out, she looked at my with half faux sympathy and half judgment and said that I had a long journey ahead of me being a teenaged single mom. I told her I was 25 and married.

Another time I was out with friends and DD was about three months old. A woman said "cute baby" and I said "thanks- I like her" to which she responded "I sure would HOPE SO. How old are you anyways?!" My friends were appalled and still talk about it.

I got a good amount of dirty looks and double-takes. I can't imagine the guff actual teenage moms have to endure!

  • I've gotten a ton of comments about wearing the baby in various wraps and the Ergo, and most of them are positive. This weekend a crazy old bat asked if I had gotten the wrap from black women in Africa, and she had the worst tone when she said it. I also had one woman tell me that I was spoiling the baby by wearing it. One of my relatives hates it, and implied that it made us look "poor". It was something along the lines of, "People are going to think you can't even afford a stroller for that baby."

  • My MIL and grandma keep telling us that we are spoiling our child. I don't know how to react so I just say 'can you really spoil a newborn?' Or 'you can't spoil a newborn, hahaha...' Or I just smile and make a surprised face.
  • @kdc2007 lol of course you could! :)

  • I haven't gotten any rude comments since my LO had been born but when I was pregnant I got all sorts of dirty looks for older people because I look like I'm 16 even though I'm 23

  • I have 5 kids an my oldest is 17 so we always get asked if I am the grandma. Talk about feeling like crap. I also get asked if all my kids have the same dad because I have spaced my kids out. Umm yeah they do and why the fluck do you care?? It is always people I never met. I think that is a weird thing to say to a stranger.
  • A woman at church walked up to us to see the baby and said "My gosh, he is just so fat!" It was the way she said fat with a look of disgust on her face. Yes, he's chubby but it's not disgusting.

I know I posted this on here before but the rudest thing was when a lady said I was going to make my DD gay for putting her in "boy" clothes (brown pants and camo onesie).

Wtf? What did you say to her? That's ignorant on all the levels!

  • I am a size 8 right now and all my extra weight seems to be in my belly and I look like I could be maybe 3 months pregnant. I just got asked (for maybe the 3rd time) when I am due. Its frusturating because I am working hard at lossing the weight, but people are way to bold!

  • @adri823 walmart sells booze! Life would be easier in Canada if walmart sold booze.
