Hello,
I am really confused about these hpts! I did two tests yesterday both of which looked positive well enough that my husband admitted he saw the lines. Today I tried again in hopes that they are getting darker. It took a long while for them to develop this morning & the lines were not as clear to see, although still there. At 7 days past retrieval & 4 days past a 3 day transfer, do you think this is the HCG trigger shot fading or an implantation that didn't work out?
So
yesterday morning I did an hpt which came out positive after it sat for
a while. The Answer test strips do tend to take a while. Then I tried
a Clear Blue easy in the afternoon which also had a very tiny positive,
but you could definately see it. Today I did the Clear Blue &
First Response 7 both of them were less than yesterday. I guess I could
assume to different things from this: 1. my HCG trigger shot is still
fading away or 2. a little one started to implant & then it didn't
work out. I am now 4 days past a 3 day transfer, 7 days past retreival
& 8.5 days past trigger. What do you all think?

Re: HPT? 7 days past retrieval, 4 days past transfer

It's probably the trigger lingering, and if you did a 3dt, your embryo(s) haven't necessarily begun implanting yet.

You're technically only 7DPO right now, that's really, really, really early for a positive. The embies probably haven't implanted just yet...
I know how hard it is to be patient though!!
IVF/FET #1 - BFP!!
DX - PCOS 2004
FET #2 - scheduled for 11/24/15
I got my first slight line at 3dp3dt. It was very slight and required a lot of photo manipulation to see it - but it was there. It wasnt until 6dp3dt that no squinting, manipulation, or guessing was needed. I had tested out my trigger at 5dp trigger.
If you didnt test out your trigger shot, than it very well could be thats what you had.
I also noticed that early early on, the line would be darker one day and lighter the next. I chalked that up to variance in manufacturing.
I confirmed my results with Beta#1 at 9dp3dt.
If you can keep your sanity long enough, wait until 7dp3dt and test with a FRER. DO NOT use the digital test yet - it will be a waste of money. Dont use the blue ink tests either i had terrible luck with those.
****(warning bfp mentioned)
I'll share my experience. I did a hpt at 6dp3dt. It came back negative, not even a hint of a second line. That was 11 dp my trigger shot so I thought that was definitely long enough for it to be out of my body.
Once I got the bfn that day, I told myself to not take any more hpts as it was upsetting to me and my piece of mind. I also had blood three days later which was two days before my beta. It truly felt like AF starting as it seemed too late to be implantation bleeding. At that point I kinda freaked out and couldn't stop crying. For comfort, I went back to my IVF packet of instructions and it clearly stated to not do a hpt and do not be concerned if you have some blood. You must wait for your beta as confirmation.
So I did what I was supposed to and waited until the day of my beta for my official results. Low and behold they called and said it was positive.
Moral of the story, due what you are most comfortable with, however each of us is different and the true test is that beta we have to wait for.
GL and FX for you !!!!!!
