Gaviscon is disgusting

At least the mint flavor I have is. My heartburn is getting worse and my doc suggested I try a liquid medicine instead of tums. I can get Zantac too but thought I'd try this first.

Anyone gave a liquid heart burn treatment that is not disgusting?

    Why liquid? Omeprazole is a life saver and you only have to take it once a day.

    Does the omeprazole stuff work on reflux or just milder heartburn. I get reflux whenever my stomach is empty and it's almost a thicker feeling than just heartburn if that makes sense. Do you just take it once in the morning?

    IVF#1 w/ICSI: 3/18 BCP, Lupron down reg, Follistim 300IU, LDHCG 10units, Lupron 5units, Ovidrel trigger on 3/18. ER 3/21
    8 retrieved, 5 mature, 3 smaller no fertilization w/IVF. 3/5 fertilized w/ICSI. Day 5 Fresh transfer scheduled 3/26 or day3 on Saturday if any arrest.

    It all tastes gross in liquid format. I've pretty much tried it all. I would say take omeprazole. It should help much better than the other products.

    Omeprazole works on everything. It's actually one of the best treatment options out there. You take it before breakfast on an empty stomach, and it will prevent heartburn or reflux from even happening, versus treating it once it becomes an issue like Gaviscon.

    ETA: when I say everything, I'm talking about dyspepsia, heartburn, acid reflux, etc.
