M is 11 months. This morning he has 3 bouts of diarrhea in a 2-hr period. It's mucousy, yellowish-green. He has no fever, is acting fine, sleeping/napping well, and eating fine. There is no change in his diet (he BFs 4x/day, plus 3 solid meals + 1 snack).
Do you think it's a stomach bug? Or something he ate? How long does this usually last? I don't plan on calling his pedi (they always ask me to bring him in, but in the absence of any fever or looking ill, I don't think it's necessary), unless M gets worse. I'm offering him water, and I'll probably offer him a couple extra BF sessions today. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!
UPDATE:
I lost count of how many diarrhea M has today... but the last 2 had more solids in it. Is that an encouraging sign? Sorry TMI, the one I just changed has a small lump of turd, and there's lots of white specks throughout. I did feed him about 4oz of yogurt at lunch, could that be what that is? It doesn't look mucousy anymore, is that a good thing? His diaper rash isn't too bad yet; I'm changing him as soon as I hear him poop, and am slathering thick coats of a bum paste on him.

The only thing I can think of is to do the typical diaper rash tricks and cut back on the acidic foods to ease a potential rash. I also gave him some foods to try to plug him up a little, although I don't know that it really e helped. We found baking soda soaks to be especially helpful on his sore bottom.

I'm a bit neurotic and I'm "that mom", but I would call about the white specks. My pedi has always told me to call if I ever saw white in his poo.
I hope it's nothing and your little one starts to feel better.
