Simple cold

What do you do for LO when they have a simple cold?

Ds has a runny nose/stuffy nose, red eyes, and gags/coughs when I suction his nose. Anything special I need to do?

    Poor buddy!  Keep suctioning!  Humidifier, lots of fluids, lots of snuggles.  I like the Johnson & Johnson Vapo Bath - pour a little in the bath while you are running the water.  Baby vicks on the chest (and feet).

    Hope he feels better soon!

    we are going through this with DD right now too!

    lots of nose wiping- I also put polysporin or vasaline on to keep her nose from cracking

    We do baby vicks on her feet at night too with socks.

    Also nice warm bath and run the humidifier.

    Hope LO feels better soon!

    Warm baths and I also let the bathroom get steamy and sit with him.

    We use Benadryl at night to dry out DS when he's really bad and can't sleep.  We prop his mattress, too.

    Lol. I just make sure his nose is clear, few drops of saline and the cool mist humidifier.
