Feed and pump simultaniously?

I've heard of people bottle feeding their baby while they pump. I tried it tonight and it was a total disaster. My pump parts got in the way and I couldn't get the positioning right for DS. I gave up a few minutes in and took off the pump parts so DS could eat comfortably. Anyone figure out how to do this? I need the idiot's guide version. :)

    I never tried, but I had a friend who would nurse on one side and pump the other simultaneously.  She swore by that method, but it always seemed so complicated to me!

    I used to nurse DD and pump at the same time. I held her cradle style with one arm and the pump with the other. I think bottle feeding while pumping would require a third hand of some sort. Either prop LO up against your legs, a boppy, or sit them in a seat. Then you can hold the bottle with one hand and the pump with the other. Or use a pumping bra like pp suggested. I was never a big fan of the bra, but I know lots of women like them.

    I would do this. I would be in bed, bra holding pump parts Jackson would be to the side of me proped on a pillow and feed him. It's a matter of finding a comfy position for him. I couldn't imagine going this on a couch.
