We're doing a bunch of work on our house. We put a pretty expensive faucet in a new powder room. I don't like it! Argh! It is a nice faucet but it doesn't look right with the sink and I don't think the shiny chrome finish looks right at all. I haven't told DH yet. I am wondering if we can/should consider switching it out and using it in a less visible room (we have other baths to re-do). I think it's going to always bother me, and we should have gone with a different finish.
Any clue how complicated it would be to have the plumber take it back off and put a different one on, and whether that screws up the faucet at all? I don't have the plumber's contact info so I'd have to admit to DH I'm thinking of changing it before I could just call the guy myself.
Re: NWMR (unless you are a plumber): switching out a faucet
Long story short-try replacing the faucet yourself. There are a lot of DIY videos on youtube.
you could always list it on ebay!
I feel for you...picking out the right faucet sounds like it should be so simple!
Like others have said, faucets are easy. We renovated two bathrooms ourselves (and we had no prior DIY experience). The first time, the faucet will take you a while and likely you'll get frustrated and have to go to HD ten different times. That said, the second time it will take you an hour, tops.
