Irvine/Newport Beach OB

Hi ladies!

I will need to find a new OB in the Irvine/Newport area because we are moving to the area in a few months. It's really hard! i was originally going to stay at my current practice, but it's just too far and I'm terrified of being in labor and stuck in traffic on the way to the hospital.

I am fairly set on delivering at Hoag Newport, which is only a short drive from our new house. Would any of you have suggestions for a great OB? Thank you so much!

    I go to Dr. Morris Ahdoot in Irvine. I started off just going for yearly paps 6 years ago. He is great and handles any situation you have with genuine care and concern. I had cysts on my ovaries 3 years ago and he made the whole process very smooth, easy and stress-free. I was stressed about not being able to have kids, etc., all the stuff that runs through your mind and he was very reassuring about my whole situation.

     

    Last year when I told him I want to get pregnant he helped guide me on what to do and gave me Clomid. I got pregnant the first month on it, thankfully. He is wonderful!!

     

    I also love his office staff, the two ladies that work with him couldn't be nicer. They have always gone out of their way to make sure things are taken care of and that I am happy.

    He recently won an award for being one of the top OB's in the Greater Newport area (I think that was the award, or something close). He didn't even know he won. I was in the office when they opened the mail and he was very modest about it.

    I'm currently seeing Dr. Candace Howe. Her office is right across from Hoag Hospital. I've only been to the office twice and it's been very pleasant so far.

    I'm seeing Dr. Jodi White-Lai of Fashion Island OBGYNs. It's an all woman practice with great doctors, a close location to Hoag Newport and a lot of experience with all types of pregnancy (mine is high-risk). Dr. Lai just gave birth herself and has a lot of empathy to the process. I highly recommend her! Also, a side benefit, you can see the ocean from her office :)

    Dr. Lai is also my doc. She's been my OB for years and I highly recommend her and the practice she is with, plus I loved delivering at Hoag :)

    I love DR Bruce A Hagadorn, his office is right next to Hoag but he only delivers at Saddleback Memorial or San Clemente.

    I am with Dr Charles Moniak in Newport. He is seriously walking distance from hoag, where I will be delivering within the next month. He is really good at keeping me at ease and reassuring my crazy 1st time mommy worries.
