Bleeding again at week 7 postpartum?!

I just about stopped bleeding 4 to 5 weeks postpartum. Then I started bleeding heavy like a period for about 6 days. I went to my six week checkup and my doc said everything looked good and it was probably my period eventhough I was breastfeeding. I started the mini pill the next day and was on it for a week. After a week I started bleeding heavy like a period again and I'm in day 4 of bleeding. I called my doc today and she didn't seem too concerned because I have no other symptoms and I'm not soaking thru a pad in an hour. She told me to give it a week, and if it continues to call back and come in for blood work to check my thyroid. I just want the bleeding to stop! Anyone else have a similar issue?

    Well, if your doc says its fine, its probably fine. Im 6 weeks pp and still bleeding off and on. Its probably just your body trying to get back to normal.

    Exact same thing happened to me one week after starting the mini pill. Bleeding stopped after about 5 days or so, like a period.

    Also, my milk production went down when it happened, which freaked me out, but it came right back when the bleeding stopped.

    Yes! At my 6 week appt I had just started my period after no bleeding for 2 weeks...dr advised me to start the pill that Sunday (4 days later). I have been bleeding since! Some days really heavy...it just stopped today. I am now 9 weeks pp...so it's been 3 weeks. Ugh! And I'm due to get my scheduled period (according to my birth control pack) next week...good times!

    I haven't completely stopped bleeding and now I think I started my period; I'm 7 weeks pp
