TTGP IF WEEKLY CHECK IN

This check in is meant for anyone on TTGP who has hit the 1 year mark of TTC (6 months if you’re over 35), has an infertility diagnosis, or are going through IF testing/treatment. It is meant to be a place for people to share and ask any questions who might not participate on 3T or IF who would like the company of others going through the same experiences.

If you would like to participate, please send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE with your info and I will add you on, and please feel free to post your intro. This will be posted every Monday morning, AKST. If you have any suggestions or would like something added, please feel free to post.

I am 10 dpIUI on my 3rd IUI cycle. I was feeling pretty positive early on, but I am having a rough day today. This was also my 6th Clomid cycle, and I am freaking out about what we'll do if this cycle is a bust. I just keep seeing dollar signs if we have to move to injectables, and we would have to finance IVF, which we don't really want to do.

QOTW: My husband and I were talking about this yesterday. His favorites are my meatloaf and mashed potatoes, lasagna, chilli, thai chicken wraps with spicy peanut sauce and chicken cordon bleu. Not all together, but you know...those are my specialties.

@TammyDoubleB I really hope this is it for you! I've got my FX!

AFM, we're on Cycle 28 right now. DH & I finally had a serious talk about where we go from here & we both agreed that we don't want to go down the road of seeing an RE. We have MANY reasons & as long as we feel the same way, then I'm ok with it. Now we just need to decide if we want to keep trying, or just let it go & be "one & done".

QOTW: DH loves my Mexican Shells, & Chili. My broccoli casserole & crab wraps are a big hit at Holidays.

@CMSullivan326, It's great that you guys were able to talk it out & get on the same page. Good luck deciding where to go from here.

@MeatandBandP, I hope the bcp gets things back on track for you & that this is the last of those pesky cysts!

AFM, not much to report. I go to the RE on Wednesday for a physical & pre-surgical consult. Then I have to go to the hospital next week for paperwork & pre-admission stuffs. The lap is officially scheduled for Halloween. :-S

ETA: Forgot about the QOTW. Best Meal, Hubby says my meatloaf. I don't have a recipe though. My secrets are worcestershire sauce & adding cheddar cheese into the mix.

My most requested item is my pecan pie. It's effing amazing & I'm pretty sure it's the only reason I get invited to parties. I'm not sharing that recipe anytime soon ;-)

@CMSullivan326 - I'm sorry that you guys are facing that difficult decision, but it's great that you and your H are on the same page. I hope that you guys are able to find the option that feels right for you. ::hugs::

@MeatandBandP - Hugs and FX for you!

AFM - Not much going on. I'm on CD2 of cyle 18. We have a meeting with our RE next Friday, the 25th, to decide what we want to do next. We're ready for treatment, we just don't know what's the best option for us in terms of cost and chances of success.

QOTW: I think H would say his favorite meal that I cook is Ritz Chicken. It's basically just chicken bits, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and crumbled up ritz crackers (with melted butter). So, super healthy :P

@MeatandBandP FX next month is THE month

We're on month 14, cycle 10 or 11. I'm still trucking along with my Metformin. We got DH's 2nd SA back today and his count went from 17 to 132! Yay for not smoking! I have a little concern about the motility but still need to talk to the doctor. We've decided to wait until January for an RE referral. We're just not ready to take that huge step and honestly, I'm not ready to face what the RE might say. I know it's foolish but that's how I feel. I might change my mind before then.

QOTW: DH loves my lasagna, chicken alfredo, and chicken tacos. Those are the ones he requests most often. Our friends request my crab rolls, buffalo chicken dip, pierogie casserole, and monkey bread a lot too. I love to cook!

We got the all clear from the RE last week. He basically said now that DH has sperm he doesn't want to see us for 3-4 months if we still can't get pregnant. FX that it happens this month. This has been the longest TWW that I have had to endure and I'm only on 5dpo.

I had my monitoring appointment this morning and we have 11ish follies in the running this cycle. My lining is only at 8.6 so it needs to thicken some. I am going back for more monitoring on Wednesday.

Right now I am finishing up my intralipid infusion. My nurse was not the greatest and managed to blow my vein and get blood all over my jeans. And I have to go back to work after this. Good times.

Afternoon ladies!

Still trucking along with this first cycle post-loss. I had my follow-up with the OB today. Physically he said there's no reason we can't start TTC once I get my period. Hopefully my levels drop off in the next couple weeks, my cycle resets, and we can jump back into the TTC game. Sometimes I think we're crazy for doing this all over again, but we want a baby, and that's the most important thing. I also called my RE and he gave me the go-ahead to start my PCOS meds again.

So for now we wait. And I begin to PW it up on TTGP once again

Well I guess I'm going to join all you lovely ladies since I guess I meet the requirements.

How long have you been trying to conceive? 22 months

Do you have a diagnosis? If so; what is it? No diagnosis

Are you currently doing any testing or treatment? I'm currently waiting on cd1 to get my orders for bloodwork on cd3. I may be making an appt with an RE soon. This is all kinda new to me so I'm taking one step at a time.

Any updates?

Follow up RE appontment ths Thursday to discuss a plan! Hubby's 2nd SA was better. QOTW: What is the best meal you prepare? Share your recipe! Crockpot sausage and peppers 1-2 cans o Hunts Spaghetti Sauce Sweet Sausage Links 1 Green Pepper 1 Onion Chop onion and peppers Boil sausage for few minutes to get rid of grease. Place everything in crockpot and cook 4-6 hours Serve on Rolls or over pasta.

WTF appointment scheduled for 10/16. I know that my doc is going to push for he exploratory lap. I need to have the talk with SO tonight about what he thinks. I start a second job tomorrow that I got to pay for treatments.

I'm on CD53 of cycle 19 and month 27. Nothing much to report... hopefully a November or December IUI is in our future. Life has been CRAZY so temping hasn't been an option, which means I have no clue what my body is up to. Sex is happening when we find the time.

Hmmm, the QOTW is a tough one. I LOVE to cook. I will think about it and edit this later!

Hugs to all who need them... I've missed you ladies a ridiculous amount!

I had my first RE appointment on Friday. My blood work is normal, however she is sill waiting for my AMH levels. My RE is going to put me on Letrozole for cycle 16 which will be sometime this week.

QOTW:I'm not much of a cook, but DH loves my turkey meatloaf.

Nothing new to report. Still waiting for my period and hoping it hurries. I'm worried that if it takes too long, DH will be gone around monitoring and that cycle will be pointless.
QOTW: I made a pretty awesome white chicken chili the other day.

Late to the game today - work is kicking my butt - @Spookster - Would you mind changing my official diagnosis to annovulatory insulin resistant PCOS?

CD 2 - going in tomorrow morning for my baseline u/s. As long as all looks well, I'll be starting with 100mg of Clomid. I'm feeling a little discouraged though because I have been having some serious pains all day today, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed I don't have any cysts I really don't want to be benched on our very first medicated cycle.

I'm on mobile so I'm copping out with one big good luck to you ladies, and hugs to those who need them!

AFM, saw the RE sat morning and I had some follie growth. I was told to have TI Sun/Mon. I have been using OPKs and haven't got a positive yet, and my temp went down this morning so I'm not sure if I O'd yet. I have never had trouble getting a +OPK so I'm a bit confused. But I'm seeing the RE in the morning for another check so I guess I'll get the scoop soon enough.

@FoxiePM, I am so glad I had my lap. We found a lot of issues, and my recovery wasn't really bad at all. Others may have different experiences, but I am definitely glad I had it. I know you'll make the right decision for you. FX!

I'm a day later since I was out of town for Thanksgiving weekend.

I had my HSG last week and everything was fine. The RE had to push water a couple of times for my left tube, but other than that it's clear.

I'll go in at the beggining of next cycle for an U/S and we'll start medication (probably Clomid and Progesterone)

I'm very blah about this cycle. I started to temp only this morning (CD12) and have no desire to pee on OPKs.

I am late, too. I had CD4 u/s yesterday and everything seemed to be fine - lining was a little thick but nothing to worry about. We're doing 7.5 mg of Femara and if no follicles by CD18 we're going to start stimming. We'll see how that goes.

I also need to order my MRI to check my pit gland and get my prolactin levels figured out. RE flat out said yesterday that we could be wasting our time if I don't get that checked out. boo!

Hi Y'all. First check in on the IF topic. I'm nervous/excited for my first RE appointment next Monday. I wish I could hand the man a crystal ball so he can immediately figure out the issue. Cycle 15 here (trying since 7/2012). Otherwise, I think I'm going to ovulate today, woo! Poor timing though..

QOTW: My best food is my guacamole (even though my husband won't eat it):

3 avocados (mushed)

2 roma tomatoes (diced)

1/2 cup onion (diced)

3 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro

juice of 1 lime

1 tsp salt

That's all ya need, just mush up the avocados, then add the rest of the ingredients, refrigerate for one hour (or overnight is even better).
