We just bought a new car so we are car seat shopping again. We have a **Evenflo Symphony** **edit**and it is such a PIA to get in and out of the old car (Ford Taurus) that DH is going to be driving so we are leaving it in there. Everytime we take it out it never goes back in the right way. We have to literally sit in the carseat ourselves to get it back in where it doesn't move around!
We bought a Nissan Rogue and I'm hoping to find a convertible seat that will work in the new car. DS is still rear facing and I would like to keep him that way as long as possible. Any recomendations?? Looking to spend $250 or less.
Re: car seat recomendations
I love the marathon because it is super easy to install and leaves room for driver/passenger. However it's taller when RFing and creates a blind spot. It also has a lot less leg room for LO.

We also have the EvenFlo Symphony e3. I could totally see it being a PIA in an older car that isn't equipped with the Latch system, but any vehicle with the latch system I find this car seat is SUPER easy to switch back & forth between my car & DH's truck. I love the SureLatch attachment. We are still rear-facing with it too. If your new car has the latch system, it would be a far less PIA I would think.

Our car has the latch system too and we have this https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11468535&cp=&parentPage=search (evenflo symphony 65LX)

We put it into the new car and without the pool noodles it doesn't sit right either! GRRR! Maybe I'm doing something wrong?? We can't get it to tighten while latched either! Any tips??
Looks like our e3 has a different type of sure latch system than your model. With ours it has recline levels so we haven't needed any towel or noodles, but that could just be the luck of the draw with our vehicles seat style. With the e3 you really just latch each side to the seat & when you push down on the seat it auto tightens. (you hear it clicking into tighter & tighter locked positions.)
Sorry I cannot offer any suggestions on your specific model, but I can for sure recommend the e3 version of the Symphony!
