I finally had to smarts to go to bed early last night! It feels good to have been sleeping that long, even if there were several interruptions. No updates today, looking forward to my scan tomorrow. My friend also hired a woman to come to the hospital and give me a manicure; SO EXCITED!!!! And my 17P shot is also tomorrow. Looks like it will be a banner day ;-)
Sorry for late check in. I slept alot yesterday so went to bed late. Just woke up now.
Yesterday DH, SIL, his niece and I went to BJs (its a whole sale store) to buy some of the food for the shower. Once again I was riding in my little electrical cart lol... I've become a pro. We ended up buying almost nothing because most of the ingredients we need either they didn't have it or it needs to be bought a little sooner then 2wks before. So since his sister is in charge of the food she will buy it two days before...
Qotd: I was released from bedrest last Thursday and the first thing I did was shop for baby shower and LO. I am not over doing it because I still want make it to 36 wks and attend my babyshower but once 28th comes I am doing it all.. Lol stitch will be out and so will I lol..
Morgan: my sleeping patterns use to change allll the time. My bedtime is no 5am :-( in the beginning I would sleep all day and still be sleepy enough to hit to sheets early. Not anymore.. I toss and turn all night. Good luck tomorrow's u/s and enjoy that mani. I was looking for someone who did house calls but never found one :-)
Update: 35w 6d excited and scared to have the kids tomorrow! I packed our bags this morning - just need to add toiletries. My surgery isn't until 3 pm - wish it was earlier. Babies have been pretty active.
QOTD: I was released from bedrest last Friday and immediately wemt to Babies R Us to get some last minute things. They only had a plain wheelchair. We then went out to eat for lunch and dinner. I have been resting too. We went to Target yesterday. I used two different motorized carts. They kept dying on me! We went to the movies too. I was so tired last night. I slept well. I keep freaking myself out saying "this is the last time I'll do x before the babies".

10-4 So excited for you! Hope you were able to get all the last minute stuff you needed. Can't wait to hear the good new, and way to go, making it to 36!!
10-4- good luck tomorrow!!! I can't wait to see the pictures!
Morgan- I wish I could have found someone to so nails at the hospital!
Kneenah- are you having the shower at your house? Let everyone else help you out an jut relax:)
I slept okay last night minus the 15 pee breaks an DS waking up 4 times! No milestones and nothing really new. Apparently lightning crotch is a real term I learned about yesterday...I have been having insane lightning crotch the past week and it was bad last night.
Qotd: first thing I am doing is getting a pedicure...I can't reach my feet and they need TLC!
10-4: so excited for you. Are you going to fast from midnight?
SMS: we rented a hall.. Since DH hubby and I are paying for everything we doing all the run around. Thank god for online shopping or it would have been worse. I am just desperate to get it over with. Shower is on the 26th.
I went to bed late and woke up early. I have been a bit of a worry wart. I found out last week that I have a huge U shaped funnel up to my stitch and the last couple days it has been hurting, almost like the stitch is being pulled on. Typically, I can keep a good mindset but now I am having a physical reminder (the pain) so it has been wearing on me a bit.
Milestones, updates, appts?
26 weeks today! If I make it two weeks from today then I will beat how far I made it with my daughter (27w6d). Although physically I don't feel great right now, it overall seems like a doable amount of time.
Qotd: what is the first thing your going to do when released from bedrest?
Pick up my 17 month old! I have been dying to pick her up and squeeze her and love on her. I want to be the one to get her from bed or naps and to put her down. The little things that mean so much. Being on bed rest has made me appreciate what I have on a daily basis.
@smscartozzi: What is lightening crotch and where exactly do you feel the pain? I am 26 weeks along and have had some pain but I think it is my cervix pulling on my cerclage. Just wondering if it could possibly be something else.
@kneenah - I'm supposed to finish eating by 4:30 am. I talked to the nurse and she said not to eat too much so hubby is making me scrambled eggs and toast at 3:30. No meds after 9:30 tonight. I'm taking my last Procardia dose in a couple hours which scares me.

@JandM lightning crotch is one of the meanest things existing. It feels like someone is stabbing your cervix with a needle and it also feels like a pinching that radiates through your vagina, pubic bone and yes sometimes even the butt area o_o
@jandm- it's kind I like a stabbing pain in the cervix. It is the baby moving down into the pelvis area pushing/bumping into the cervix. It's a sudden stabbing pain, not like a long dull ache. I get it the most at night, conveniently when I am trying to sleep! I really started feeling it after my twins dropped last week!
I slept terrible! LO was all over the place and so were SO and the animals therefore I got like two hours of sleep. I went to the doctor this morning and e has decided that I should come weekly and our goal at this point is 34 weeks. The first thing I am going to do is take my dog for a walk! I feel so bad for him
Slept like usual last night. Turned a million times because of hip pain and every time I turned, I felt like I was going to pee myself. 8-| Strange dreams are the norm now, also.
31w5d today. Was pretty sore yesterday and I'm feeling like I won't make it too many more weeks. I'm sore today, too but like yesterday. Rode the electric cart at Wal-Mart today because DH has the day off and I didn't want to send him to do grocery shopping by himself. So that was the highlight of my day. Now I'm back on my couch and stuffing my face.
Qotd: Do I have to pick just one thing??? Lol. Definitely want to pick up DD and squeeze her. She asks me to pick her up occasionally and it makes me sad that I can't. I also can't wait to clean and organize! And go for a walk (at the mall).

@10-4LilBuddy, so exciting! Happy baby day, tomorrow. Can't wait to see pics.
@smscartozzi, I've had some lightening crotch here and there since about 20-22 weeks but yesterday, I felt it big time. Like YOWZA!! Ouch. I wonder if that means LO dropped? Or was she already 'dropped'? I don't know. I just know I want to make it at least a couple more weeks.

@hjweber, everything I have read says that lightnig crotch does not mean labor is close or that you have dilated...just mean the baby likes to torture you!
I'm just going to tell myself that I have lightening crotch (maybe that really is what is it?). It'll help me sleep better at night. It is quite a jolting feeling. It sounds like a superpower almost...LIGHTENING CROTCH! Zap! Pow! Ow.
Lol Jane it can def be that. I was told if baby is ripping through cerclage you would get some sort of bleeding/spotting. I get pinching and it freaks me out like you I thought it was cerclage but when I was cked Saturday, it isn't :-) I am carrying a 6 pound baby so I freak out lol
Hi ladies. Didn't sleep that great. Joy turning when my hips or shoulders got sore. I took a short nap on the couch today. Helped a little, but still a little tired.
Saw my dr today. Just went over stuff talked about bedrest and upping my lovenox dose for the third tri. She did not spec me cause she doesnt want to stir things up. I got a script for another cervical US in 2 weeks. Hopefully everything continues to stay the same. I see my dr next week for another appt and will do my glucose screen and also a nst. She wants to see if I will contract at all.
For those of u ladies with short cervixs and have been on bedrest forever. How do u stay sane or not get sad? I am normally a very active person and if I don't have plans I make plans to stay busy (hang out with ppl, go a variety of places, work out). My mom taught me how to crochet this weekend so I am working on a blanket. Any other activities that u guys do that help pass time? I am already looking forward to my appt next Tuesday!
I will go out to eat when taken off bedrest. I will also have sex if I make it That far and am off pelvic rest.
BFP #1 (7/13/12) MC (8/14) 9 weeks. D & C 8/17. BFP #2 (5/18/13) due 1/26/14. Grow baby grow! Its a surprise! Team green!
Roses: I was on bedrest from 21-34wks. In the beginning I did alot of nothing which made my days go by slowly. Finally my mom taught me to crochet. I made a blanket, did some online shopping when I found sells, researched baby items, worked on my shower registry. I noticed when I woke up and moved to the living room it would make my day go by fast. I watched alot of shows I didn't have a chance to watch before. I texted and did bedrest checkin. I loved when I got company of course it wasnt often but when they did come I didn't want them to leave :-)
I cried alot in the beginning. I was scared and felt like my body was failing me. As I got past milestones my confidence just sky rocket. I am 34.5wks and I still worry. I still cry. I haven't even officially announced my pregnancy. Bedrest is the hardest thing I have done but now that I am able to sit up right and move around a little more I am so proud of myself, i feel a sense of accomplishment. It's takes a strong woman to do bedrest and keep sane..
Couldn't fall asleep for a while last night. Eventually when I did it was ok, but had to get up earlier than normal for an early conference call and then my OB appt. Nothing new at the OB, cervix still closed, and we still continue with everything for another 2 1/2 weeks until I get to 36. He said that if I go into labor before 36 they will likely still try to stop it- I thought maybe at 34 they would let it progress if it happens, but doesn't sound like it (although maybe they don't try too hard after 34). The head is also low at this point, which is what the US on Friday showed as well. He could feel it during my pelvic exam. I'm not sure when it "droppped," I never really felt a difference, but I guess it did over the last week or so! It does feel weird when I get the really low headbutts way below my bikini line- it seems hard to imagine there is enough room right there for him to hang out, lol! I got lightening crotch a few times in the second trimester, but none recently (knock on wood). Now when he pushes on the cervix I just get this weird sensation that makes my keegals squeeze up instantly cause it feels like something is coming out of there!
Well, he must have heard me because now he's headbutting, lol!
QOTD: If DH has his way, sex will be the first thing- if I have mine, a pedicure and hair cut/hair dye will come before the sex in case sex gets things moving right away!
Bedrest is hard - mentally and physically. I kept the tv on all day the entire time I was in the hospital to keep my mind off the hospital. I am a very type A person and was surprised how little I wanted to do. I started knitting a baby blanket, but did not finish it. I read some books. I did continue working. I also worked on our baby registry. I actually hated having visitors bc I didn't have much to say and felt so weak lying there. I prayed and cried a lot. I am good at compartmentalizing, so I justified my bedrest as something that had to be done and not an option. Checking in with others really helped too. Good luck.

I need to work on my sleeping pattern. I find myself sleeping throughout the day and then I cannot get a good nights sleep. I want to try and stay up the whole day so I can sleep at night but that is really difficult.
I will be caring for a newb when I am finally off bed rest because this will last until this baby is born.
High risk momma: Diagnosed with a partially abrupted placenta at 32 weeks and sentenced to strict bed rest for the remainder.

Rose-I've been on bed rest for almost 14 weeks now. I have knitted a ton of things. Listen to podcasts, NPR, Ebooks that I can get from my library on my iPhone. I like sports, so I also watch a lot of football, gymnastics, college soccer. We subscribed to gamefly, so I play some wii games-CSI, NCIS, etc. At 4 pm I watch Ellen, then local/national news, Jeopardy. We placed a plastic stool in the shower, so I can take longer showers. It took a while, but I eventually formed a routine.
QOTD-I think I am technically off bed rest this Friday. However, if I stand or walk much, I get a ton of pelvic pain, so I doubt my activity will change much. Hopefully I will deliver soon after Friday.
